Very mediocre collection of stories which all fail to be either interesting or original, except in that they have varying amounts of gay/erotic/sort-of-porno sex thrown in - if you want a wank book with vampires then this is for you - but really there are far better and more interesting compilations of vampire tales out there. Even if you want a wank I wouldn't choose this.

What is most infuriating about these stories in the sheer laziness of all the contributors - all they have done is write extremely conventional, not to say banal vampire stories - the sort that never make any horror magazine, or compilation of the years best horror, or even a Walmart knock off of out of copyrite stories - all they have introduced is some gay sex, well often a great deal of gay sex/lust but even that is very predictable - we are definitely not talking anything even close to Anne Rice's attempt to rethink the genre and to deal with vampires as sexual creatures. These vampires are barely cartoon cut outs, they smell of moth balls and the sex smells of desperation.

Just writing in 'gay characters/sex' doesn't challenge a genre these days - it has been done already and I am embarrased that gay readers would so easily satisfied with this sort of rubbish.
