So I picked this up at 8 pm and finished it at 1:30 am. I really enjoyed this book. This gave the life of Christ a totally different perspective and made Mary and Joseph seem more real than just "the Virgin Mary" and "Joseph the Carpenter". I really felt their pain and happiness with the huge task of raising the Son of God. Also it helped me to see how Christ must have been as a child. He still cried and played around, but he was always honest, wise, and dependable and a very loyal son with an important mission and purpose. The language in the Bible is old fashioned (obviously, being thousands of years old) with the "thee"s and "thy"s and "thou"s, yet in this book the language is more modern which makes me almost forget that this was over 2000 years ago which was kind of weird but cool. I would definitely recommend this book to any Christian or even if you're just curious about this Christ that everyone talks about. I'm going to be thinking long and hard about this book for a while.

This book really helped me to appreciate all that Mary went through; telling Joseph, suffering persecution & rumors, giving up her son to be crucified. The part that really got to me, also, was when Herod demanded all the babies be killed, under age 2. I pictured how I would feel if that were my child or grandchild, & how devastating to see that happen to your loved one. I felt as if I were there. Excellent book! Really enjoyed it.

I think this book is out of print now, but if you can find it, it's worth it. It is a story of Mary, from her point of view, from before she was betrothed to Joseph. There is some fiction in it, but the author did her research and most of it is from scripture that usually is passed over, like the names of Christ's siblings. Enjoy!

Though this is a fictional account of real events, the story rings true. It is clear that the author researched the culture and traditions of the times, and that shows through in the actions and dialogue in the book. It was nice to read the interactions between Jesus, his parents, and the rest of the family. Though we don't know a lot about that time of His life, this account feels realistic.

I'm sure I picked this up on a youth temple trip to Atlanta. It's special in that way, but I can't remember much about it. I'll have to re-read sometime. :) It must be decent otherwise I wouldn't have kept it.

I loved this book. It is a good book for either Easter or Christmas. It is a fictional book about what it was like to be Mary and Joseph. I really enjoyed it.
