A realistic story about teenage pregnancy

Some months after Karen hears Zoe’s shocking secret -- that she is pregnant -- a baby is found abandoned. Karen is devastated (she too was abandoned as a baby, and is now adopted.)

The book starts off really mysterious as it mentions Karen being shocked about the secret and really draws your attention to the story line. Unfortunately, the mystery inst revealed until the middle of the book which was off-putting because it dragged on too much. I didnt really like the other characters in the book as they were all too distanced from the reader in the fact that we dont really engage with them as a reader, and the plot of the story went from moving very slowing to instantly escalating, which I didnt really like much. Also it was written in second person which the story focus on the actions of the character rather than the feelings and thoughts.

Another of Sophie Kinsella's books I just love! It is a quirky, funny book that I really enjoyed reading. Emma is a nervous flyer and when she is on a turbulent plane, she spills out ALL her secrets to a stranger who is sitting next to her. When everything seems to be fine, she leaves the airport thinking she will never see that man again. The ironic thing is that he ends up being her boss of the whole mega corporation she works at. I found the character to be very original and entertaining. Her relationship with Jack Harper (her boss) really put me on edge.

I remember finding this in our school library when I was in eighth grade. I absolutely fell in love with the book after just reading the blurb alone, and when I started to read through the book, I couldn't bring myself to put it down. I love Karen's character throughout the story, and I love the fact that I could relate to the characters, despite the fact that I have never been in a situation this conflicting or disastrous. Definitely would recommend it to my friends

I started this book about 2 months ago but with everything going on I just wasn't in the reading mood. I only got a chapter into it. I picked it back up and finished it in one day - it turned out to be really good. It reminded me a lot of Meg Cabot's books for adults I've already read.
