R.C. Reigh is an American author of fiction and fantasy novels and short stories for both Middle Grade and Young Adult readers. This is the second book I've read in the Kingdom of 7 Sovereigns series, and I enjoyed it even more than the last! Another unlikely pair, fae and dragon, are drawn together by a near tragedy. The slow burn of this relationship, albeit magical, is very relatable and intriguing. Even more dynamic characters are introduced, and layers of some of my favorites are slowly being peeled back making we antsy for more. Keep 'em coming!

In the second book in The Kingdom of 7 Sovereigns series, Dragons, by R.C. Reigh, Princess Sarapahine gets an unexpected ally and protector in Dragon Prince Dax as she gets attacked. Together with him and his brothers they come across a sinister plot.

As I have read the first book in this series I knew it would be a great novel, but I enjoyed it even more. The action and the fantastic flowing and fast paced writing style just sucked me in. There is a lot going on and thanks to the multiple POV you get to know the characters even more. I especially liked the Dragon brothers: they are fierce, loyal and have a lovely relationship, while each of them is different. Although Dax is the middle brother he is the one who is the more loyal of them all. Darron, the Crown Prince, is a person who enjoys life (and girls), but when his fiance enters the Academy, he completely changes and that is so sweet. And Roarke, the third brother, is also awesome: he acts like he takes nothing seriously, but has a great secret. As the story progresses we learn what that secret is and that blew me away. Hopefully in the next book things will work out for him, for at the end there is this cliffhanger which makes me long for the next book.

Saraphine, the Fae Princess, is lovely and thanks to her building relationship with Dax, both she and him are becoming more selfassured in love and their slow burn romance is just cute and so sweet. Dax knows nothing about girls and the interactions between them are just lovely to read.

In this story, which I enjoyed immensely, there is action, tension, magic, betrayal, humor and several plottwists. The multiple POV is just fantastic. I love this series and can’t wait for the next book!

From my 14 year old daughter: I absolutely loved it. The book was so detailed and R.C. makes it come to life like I’m actually there. This book was a perfect mix of action/adventure, romance, and fantasy that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, always wanting more. Every time I put it down I couldn’t wait to pick it back up again. The characters are so easy to fall in love with, and the world she created is so perfectly crafted that it seems like a real place. As a reader of the New York Times #1 Bestselling author Christopher Paolini, author of the Inheritance Cycle and Eragon, I am very impressed with R.C.’s book. I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

My review: Well then, I want to go yell at the author now. Why? Because I am anxious in reading the next book! I need it now. Okay, I may have caved and one-clicked it before I even finished Dragons but I mean, come on, how could I resist?
Dax and Saraphine were so sweet, these two know how to work as a team with their powers and intelligence. Not much get past them.

The tension between Kessara and Roark are gold. Two opposites couldn’t be more perfect for one another. Well, maybe not in their eyes but I am anticipating finding out how things will eventually end up.

No ,this does not leave on a cliffhanger, but more of a hook. The skills this author has to hold your attention, bring the characters to life, and make the reader feel like they are right in the world she created. And the battles! The swift maneuvers were so precise and planned out, it felt flawless. Such creativity and skilled knowledge the author has.

Highly recommend!
