The Amazing Secrets Of The Yogi
"In The Amazing Secrets of the Yogi I have embodied many valuable secrets, which have been collected with great care from the treasured wisdom of Ancient India. "These secrets if put into daily practice will bring you added health, greater success and unbounded happiness. They will prove to be a "guide, philosopher and friend" and will serve you well in times of trouble, difficulty or disease. In fact you will soon come to regard them as the greatest boon that has ever come into your life." Charles Francis Haanel was an American New Thought author and a businessman. Very amazing information from this book

Small and easy to read.
Made me have a inner conflict between my empirical self and my rational self. No doubt breathing techniques are amazing tools and science starts now acknowledging it, still the author uses way too many time the words "scientific" or "evidence" without letting the reader have any source of confirmation as a reference.
Obviously This is a "western way of thinking comment", but still, the author must admit that this is empirical knowledge, which is also fine, instead of calling it scientific knowledge.

Succinct points, with interesting techniques and tools. However, there are no warnings about dangers of incorrect practises/pitfalls. The copywriting sure needs improvement.
Overall, an interesting bunch of insights, but this book is not for everyone.

A very early text on the origins of yoga and traditional yogis. An interesting read for yoga enthusiasts with exercises and breathing techniques, but a bit far removed from modern books on the subject.
