A.J. Llewellyn lives in California, but dreams of living in Hawaii. Frequent trips to all the islands, bags of Kona coffee in the fridge and a healthy collection of Hawaiian records keep this writer refueled.

Blood Eclipse is a great start to the series. I really enjoyed it and I'm already starting the second. After finishing this first story, however, I'm left with one burning question - why don't the vamps need lube?

As a standalone book, this novella was a little short and underdeveloped and ends in a nasty cliffhanger. But if you buy the entire series and read them one after the other like I did, it makes it more enjoyable. Rory hates vampires after his friend, an MMA fighter, is killed in the ring. Determined to write a book that talks about the fighting world, Rory realizes the best way to learn about vampires is to spend more time with them and accepts a job at a vampire brothel. He doesn't expect to become extremely attracted to a beautiful vampire prince, Carden.

This was an interesting premise. I will say that aspects of this story made me uncomfortable - mostly the fact that boyfriends were hookers. Okay, it's not exactly cheating if you know that's what your boyfriend does, but it definitely tickled my jealousy bone.

This story packs a punch and leave you wanting more. Vampires have come out of the closet. The focus of the story is two friends and the vamps they connect with, it begins with Dennis going to a club for vampire sex, Dennis has never been in love before but fall immediately head over heals for Thiago. Rory a man who hates vampires due to past experiences finds himself working at the club and drawn to the mysterious pureblood Cardan. There are a lot of players in this book from Cardans lover to their boss and a witch among many others who want eternal life. Once you've finished reading you'll be left with more questions than answers many if which I hoping are answered in book two Rapture. Great collaboration yet again from Llewellyn and Manly.

Interesting story but it is more like a soap opera. Caden and Rory are the central main characters (so far) but there are a bunch of characters milling around with them. It is hard to tell who is going to be main characters in the next installemnt(s).

Be forewarned, this is not a book with a tidy HEA or even a HFN. It ends with an abrupt cliffhanger that ends literally in the middle of a scene.

I really liked this book! It was a fun read, the characters were all multi-layered and even though they were flawed, there was something one could identify with each one.

The relationships in this book are complex and beautiful, a real love story.

It's past-faced and fun, yet still dark at times. It was a great read.

Not sure yet what I think of this series. This first book was sexy, but I'm not in love with the characters yet and it really did stop in the middle of the story. We'll see how I feel after the next book.

No idea why I read it - I don't like vampire romance, and this one's no exception. I also don't like 'true love' that suddenly appears out of nowhere with mythical connections and without knowing anything about the other person except that they're hot.

A strange, erotic story between Humans and Vampires with lots of erotic scenes.
