I have been to Singapore so many times, yet I never even thought of what had happned on that small island in the history during the World War II. Japan, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, India, England and some more European countries and the US, that many countries involved... When there are people. there are lives and feelings. the story was well written with each character clearly.
