Rate this book
The book contains short stories about the life on board a cruise ship. It is written by a captain and everything in the book really happened. Most of the stories are humorous and some serious. They evolve around crew and passengers alike and do give an insight into the daily life on board a ship. Some of these stories have been and still are published in magazines and are highly successful.

It can be fun to read behind-the-scenes books about cruises while on a cruise. This one was a bit of a disappointment, though. Some of his incidents were funny and/or interesting, but several were fairly mundane. I finished it, but didn't bother to recommend it to fellow passengers.

This book was an enjoyable one to read and fairly amusing in places. I think I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in travel.
