This is a phenomenal collection of Dr. Erickson's quotes and philosophy. Dr. Havens does an excellent job of bringing an extensive amount of information to bear on various subjects and brings these quotes into a coherent amalgam. He details how each group of quotes relates together to the part being discussed and then brings all of the information to bear on the whole using a summary at the end of each chapter.

I did stop reading the book before the end because much of the second portion of the book is specifically geared toward the psychiatrist/psychologist who might be contemplating an Ericksonian approach to therapy. For the professional this information must be invaluable. For the layman such as myself this area of information gets difficult to read, understand and follow. I am not a therapist, I am just someone who had this recommended and I appreciate the recommendation very much as I have grown from the information, especially the information in the first part of the book.

A very extensive read. Most of it is over my head but what I did begin to understand is incredibly intriguing.
