Has a Rebecca feel

The art was nice. I was turned off by the subtle colonial fantasy of it all as a Black reader.

I gave it three stars mainly for how off the wall it got in the last part. It reminded me a great deal of Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

Very dramatic story

More drama then anything else.

Kara meets Lucan whilst getting away from her ex fiance and best friend who married someone else.

Lucan has family responsibilities that make his life full. He falls for Kara but she doesn't know how he really feels.

Rue is a small child at Dragon Bay. She doesn't know who she belongs to, but unknown to all, Lucan's older identical twin Pryde who resides in a wheelchair due to a fall whilst in competition with each other, is the only one who knows the truth of Rue's parentage within the family. She is close to Lucan and thanks to Pryde, Kara has doubts about whether Lucan is Rue's parent.

Kara has a series of upsetting incidents which lead her to the truth but puts her life at risk.

The story is a little over dramatic and the twin thing has been used a few too many times. The graphics are well drawn, the text is mainly clear and the characters are good, but the story lets it down somewhat.
