Falling for Jason

Falling is exactly the type of read I gravitate to. Two people who DO NOT want to fall for each other and do, in spite of their best efforts not to. A romance that creeps up when you least expect it, and with someone you wouldn’t normally choose. Throw in some mutual dislike, and I’m sold!
Dana is in Alaska temporarily. Her goal was to remodel a home in a year and turn around and sell it. It is a way to escape for a little while before she settled into her life plans. You know what happens to best laid plans though? Life always has the last laugh.
While on her way to a party, Dana witnesses a crime and gets into an accident. This is where she meets the oh-so-charming Craig, the police officer who handles the case. There’s an immediate attraction, and all too quickly these two are at it, hot and heavy. Dana soon finds out that Craig has been less than truthful about his situation (red-flag, Dana!!) and she has some doubts, but she’s not looking for anything meaningful or permanent, so she’s willing to overlook a few “minor” details to just have fun. *insert cringe and character slap here*
In the middle of all this, Dana is threatened by the defendant in the crime she witnesses and suddenly needs a hideout. Craig has the perfect place to stow her, a remote run-down lodge that Dana would NEVER stay at if she had a choice. With Jason, the scruffy and grumpy lodge-owner throwing her judgmental looks, how will she survive this confinement?
Jason has seen Dana’s type a million times before, rich, pampered, and superficial. Exactly the type he wanted to get away from after finishing college. He doesn’t care that his lodge is run-down, it’s a work in progress, and allows him quite time for his passion: writing.
This was written in alternating POVs from Dana and Jason. I love this format of writing, because I always want to know what’s going on in the main character’s heads. I didn’t care much for Dana at first. She didn’t really know what she wanted in life, and makes some pretty stupid and thoughtless choices throughout. But this is where Ms. Perry’s talented writing comes in. By taking someone, like Dana, flawed and unlikable, and showing us how she grows and learns from her mistakes, and making her likable in the process. I had no such problems with Jason! Even when he was gruff in the beginning, I was immediately drawn to him. (Yes, even with his scruffy beard!) He had principals, and yet didn’t throw them up in Dana’s face when she finally realized the error of her ways. I loved how he didn’t want to like Dana, but couldn’t help himself when he saw the real girl underneath. That’s when the sparks begin to fly. There were some steamy scenes in this:
I'm not sure who moves first, but our lips come together. Everywhere Craig was confident and hungry, Jason is slow and deliberate. Every fiber of me is quaking at wanting more of him than he's giving. His lips brush against mine again, slightly parted this time, and when his tongue lightly teases my lower lip I let out a soft moan, which is a sure sign that I'm no longer in control of what my body wants.
That’s sure to get your blood pumping!
I’ve always wanted to visit Alaska, so I loved this as the setting. I felt like I was up at the lodge enjoying the winter quiet, (of course while reading a book by the fire!) and the fun of snowmachining, right along with the characters.
I highly recommend this story for contemporary romance fans, and readers who are enjoying the new adult genre like I am. It was an addictive story that you could easily read in one sitting! I had a big smile on my face when I finished!

This book was written for nothing but fun.
Spoiled girl + Girl totally out of her element + unexpectedly hot and fabulous guy = what Jolene loves to read for fun.
I set this at a place I frequent in the winter OFTEN - Petersville Lodge, and had a blast doing it.

Frankly, I'm disappointed.
This is a terrible story of figuring what you want to do with your life.
I only gave this a 3 (I could've given it an easy 2) because Jason was a relatively likable character. He owns this great winter lodge and he's a good guy. He's nice to almost everyone except Dana at first. I secretly hoped that he would just continue to hate Dana's guts. LOL.
Who's Dana? Oh, she's a piece of work alright. She goes on this trip to Alaska because she just wants to break free of her high and mighty upper class life. She says that she wants to figure things out on her own. She has multiple personalities. Somtimes she's too forward, sometimes she's the scared little girl and most of the time, she's the insecure brat. She got stuck in the lodge ran by Jason. She was put there by the douche Craig. She sort of became the lodge-bed girl for me here. I started to dislike her the moment she flirted with that darn Craig.
She also paints a really bad picture of her family, which I think is just a mean thing for her to do. She makes her brother and her father seem like some sort of villains when all they do is care for her. I mean yeah, the brother looked stressed out, but he cared enough for her. Her father on the other hand is such a good man in the end that I feel like I wanna smack her with a sign saying:
She also had an affair with a friggin married guy (CRAIG, oh handsome CRAIG)!!! Personally I think it was just all hormones! She just needed some hot lay and since it's intriguing enough to do it with a married man, that's what she did. Even if the said married man has an "on-the-rocks" type of relationship, I still find this weird and very much annoying. She kept on saying that she wanted to be viewed as a young, single woman, which yes, she is.. so why is she soooooo desperate to fool around with that guy! I mean, I don't care if he looks like James Bond, HE'S STILL DAMN MARRIED! AND YOU'RE STILL FRIGGIN YOUNG!!!

I'm sorry, I know that it's mean... but when the wife of Dana's fling/bed partner came to the lodge and they met face to face, together with the kids.. this is what I felt like:
YES!! I was laughing an evil laugh!!! Take that! You.. you.. you.. whatever you call yourself these days!
I'd like to say it was good when she and Jason hooked up.. but I just can't believe that you'd be attracted to another guy in a matter of days after what she's been through with Craig. Those two guys are even practically cousins! Don't get me wrong, Jason is as good as it goes... it's just that Dana didn't know what to do with him. LOL. She wants to be free, but her end game is to still work for her dad and not be too close to Jason. Whatever! It's like I wanted her to exit the book right then and there.. and then I'll find another heroine to insert in the last few pages.
The ending was a very good one, it was great, beautiful, awesome..... NOT. To be honest, their getting-back-together scene was....

Can you give less than one star? If you could, I would definitely do it for this book. Really all I can say is shame on you Jolene. I have read other books by this author and they have been clean and insightful, with real strong characters and lessons to learn, but not this one.
I didn't finish because a few pages in - language - which got progressively worse until I couldn't take it anymore. And, the characters and their behavior were appalling. I will more careful the next time I see a book by this author.

Craig, the cop who helps her get off the crash and interrogates her, ends up starting something with her, and convinces her to take refuge at the lodge of a friend of his, Jason.
Dana agrees and in exchange for a room she will work with Jason in the maintenance of the place and serving the guests.
Her relationship with Jason does not get off to a very good start since Craig is the husband of Jason's cousin and does not agree with the affair, which ends when Dana discovers the truth.
From then on, their relationship improves to such an extent that new things emerge between them.
But after the recent divorce of Jason and Dana who doesn't know what to do with her life, we spend a good part of the book seeing these 2 characters getting closer as well as farther apart.
An entertaining read.

All the crazy books I have been reading lately I soooo needed this. I started it last night and deiced to just stay up all night and read because I didn't want to put it down. I looovveeddd Jason. There was just something about him. Dana frustrated me at times (Craig situation) but by the end I ended up loving her too. Plus there were great supporting characters- Boz, Justine etc. It was a great story.

I write this review for any reader that has read Jolene Perry's Christian books and are looking for more of her books. This is not a clean romance by any means. It has drugs, affairs, bad language, and love scenes that you wouldn't expect after reading her "Boys next door" series. Those were the only books I read by her so was pretty shocked when I got a few pages in.

“I feel like I’m letting go of the edge of a cliff.” My voice shakes a little because I know I’ve never felt this way for anyone before. And because I know I’m walking into what may end up being a ridiculous situation, but I also know I can’t just walk away.
“Is that where we are?” Jason whispers.
I lean forward and press our lips together. “Not anymore. Now I’m falling.”
The story starts off with Dana on her way to a party. She is lost in the deserted Alaskan roads when she witnesses a murder. Even worse, the murderer causes her to crash her car. But sexy cop Craig comes to her rescue. He takes her to the hospital and flirts with her and pretty soon they end up hooking up. No matter how many times I read the book summary, I always get a little hazy once I actually start reading the book. I was getting worried about Craig being the main love interest because…well, he’s really a slimy guy. He tells Dana that his marriage is over even though it is NOT. (She doesn’t find out until later) When family members of the murderer start showing up at her work and following her, Craig suggest she stay at his friend Jason’s secluded lodge. Friend is a strong word…frenemy is more like it.
When Dana shows up at the lodge, Jason immediately dislikes her. She reminds him way too much of his ex-wife and he is determined to find reasons to hate her. Plus, he thinks that she is knowingly having an affair with Craig who is married to Jason’s cousin. Needless to say, things get off to a rocky start between these two. Jason is distant and rude to Dana at first, but he soon realizes that she might not be as bad as he thought. Very slowly, they start to open up to each other and they even learn to get along. When her fling with Craig dies out, Jason is suddenly out of reasons to pretend to hate her and they try their best to deny their growing attraction to each other or their sizzling chemistry. But they both know that there is no point in starting anything between them because she is leaving as soon as the trial is over, and he has no plans on leaving his lodge.
Ah, this is my favorite type of romance! The kind that causes you to get flutters in your stomach and makes your fingertips tingle. You know, not the insta-love kind where they lock eyes and “OMG I love you and would do anything for you”. Nope, you won’t find any of that here. This has that perfect “I don’t really like you but I’m kind of attracted to you so I’m just going to pretend I hate you” kind of thing going on. Jolene wrote this romance perfectly! It’s slow paced but with a build up that is oh-so delicious and you just know that will make it all worth it in the end. Although they had many obstacles, their love was also in a way effortless. And the sexual tension between them was HOT! I was so relieved when I found out that Jason was the real love interest because he is so swoon worthy! First of all, he is a writer. He also happens to be hot and sweet and romantic and takes care of the people he loves. I was also pleasantly surprised that we get Jason’s POV chapters too. Dana is a little bit of a mess. She doesn’t know what she wants out of life other than the fact that she is desperately seeking her dad and brother’s approval. She second guesses every action and feeling and makes mistakes. Despite her flaws, she was a very realistic 20-something year old girl and I really liked her once I got to see her real side.
I love Indies. I love New Adult books. Books like this are the perfect example of why I love these kinds of books so much and why I simply can’t get enough of them! And isn't this cover just gorgeous? I LOVE it!

-I’m being pulled between liking him way more than I should, and hating how much I like him.

This is my 3rd Jolene Perry novel (4th if you count Dizzy--which is her collab with Nyrae Dawn), and well, I wasn't impressed with this one. The setting sure is unique... Alaska... yeah, lots of ice, snow mobiles and bears? LOL! Anyway, the reason it only got a 2.5 from me is because of the heroine.
Dana is supposedly smart, a graduate of an Ivy League school (for goodness sake!) but, I think her accident affected her brain too much because when she woke up in the hospital, she started flirting with a married police man! Oh sure, Craig was good looking, and he said his marriage is already "rough" at the moment, but still, he's married. Plus he has kids... what a home-wrecker! She acted with pure lust in mind that the line between right and wrong became blurry in Dana's head. Dana is the sole witness of a murder case that Craig is investigating and he wants to keep her around (so convenient right?). So what does he do? Craig calls his wife's cousin, Jason, who owns a lodge and asked him to let his mistress stay in the lodge. Of course, Jason agrees because he's a cop, even though he hates his guts. Jason is in the middle of processing his divorce with his spoiled wife Cass and isn't looking for a relationship. When Dana came to the lodge, he immediately hated her, not just for screwing his cousin's husband but also because she reminds him of his soon to be ex-wife. Later, when Dana finally realized how stupid she was for having an affair with Craig (which took so long btw, she had to see his Craig's wife and kids before realizing what a home-wrecker she is) she finds herself falling for Jason.
Good... I hope you learned your lesson Dana.
I almost forgot how adorable Jason was because of Dana's faults. He's a great friend and a brother. I just don't know if he made the right decision by choosing Dana...haha, just kidding! His relationship with Boz was cute. Boz' business isn't exactly legal but I liked him, he's funny! I think the ending was fine. Jason deserves to be happy and I'll be fine with it even if it means he has to stay with that *coughs* slut.
Oh, there are fun parts too that's why there's a .5 there... When Dana ate Boz' baked goodies and got stoned, I laughed so hard!

I swallow hard and walk into the kitchen in a daze. I cannot remember the last time I felt this way. I wonder if I’ve ever felt this way. Dirty. Used. Completely second-rate. And like a horrible, horrible, person.

“Yes.” He glares at Justine, which is more adorable than angry.

So, yeah, if you're looking for a book about horrible cheating heroines... this is the perfect book for you. JK! I think If you can excuse the cheating, it can be an enjoyable read.

I have never read a book by Jolene Perry and I loved this book by her. It was a really great book from the beginning to the end. It never dragged and each page it just kept on getting better and better. I loved the characters in the book especially Dana and Jason. Have you ever met a handsome gorgeous guy and kept telling yourself that you will never fall in love with them because you can't. Well guess what that's what happens to the characters in the story.
Dana is a twenty something girl that drives a BMW, beautiful and very high maintenance. One night she was given directions to a party from a friend. Well she ends up getting lost along the way and she can't use her GPS because there is no service. When she finally sees some vehicles she ends up witnessing a murder and runs into a bank of snow and gets stuck in there until a very sexy married cop rescues her. She ends up falling for him even though he is married. Craig the sexy cop calls his friend Jason that owns a mountain lodge to see if Dana can stay up there and go into hiding because she will be a witness in the murder case.. So Jason can't say no to Craig because Craig is married to Jason's cousin. So when Dana ends up at the Lodge its this little run down dirty lodge that she doesn't picture herself in and doesn't know what she is going to do with her time while she is up there. Jason is in his twenties and going through a divorce because she left him and didn't want to be married anymore. Jason is mad because Dana is sleeping and fooling around with Craig even though he is married. He is kinda nasty and mean to Dana and keeps to himself. Jason loves to write in his spare time and he hasn't told anyone close to him or his family that he likes to write. The only guy that comes to her rescue to make her feel better is Jason. Dana starts to have feelings for Jason and doesn't know if she should go through with it because she will be leaving right after the trial. I won't tell you the ending because you really need to read this because its an awesome book. I loved the ending and I loved the tension between the characters and how they ended up falling in love with each other. I would read another book by this author if all her characters are like Dana and Jason.

Well she ends up getting lost along the way and she can't use her GPS because there is no service. When she finally sees some vehicles she ends up witnessing a murder and runs into a bank of snow and gets stuck in there until a very sexy married cop rescues her. She ends up falling for him even though he is married. Craig the sexy cop calls his friend Jason that owns a mountain lodge to see if Dana can stay up there and go into hiding because she will be a witness in the murder case.. So Jason can't say no to Craig because Craig is married to Jason's cousin. So when Dana ends up at the Lodge its this little run down dirty lodge that she doesn't picture herself in and doesn't know what she is going to do with her time while she is up there. Jason is in his twenties and going through a divorce because she left him and didn't want to be married anymore. Jason is mad because Dana is sleeping and fooling around with Craig even though he is married. He is kinda nasty and mean to Dana and keeps to himself. Jason loves to write in his spare time and he hasn't told anyone close to him or his family that he likes to write. I absolutely adore all of Jolene's books, okay, okay, I confess, I haven't read them all yet (semantics!) but pretty darn close and I have loved them all, so I was positive that I was going to love this one too.
And not to sound full of myself or anything but, I love it when I am right!!
I have wanted to read this one since first seeing the cover on Jolene's blog. I have no idea what it is about the cover that just drew me in. I just love it. It is so cute and flirty looking. It has a subtlety to it that I just really found myself liking and wanting snatch it up and read it.
When Jolene offered (okay, I may have coerced her a little) to let me read an advanced copy of it I think I may have squealed out loud. Yep, I just might officially fall into the fan girl category at this point in time.
I honestly would have read this in one sitting if I hadn't had about a million interruptions on the day I started it. Family stopping by, phones ringing, a lesson I needed to plan for my class, Halloween decorations that needed to go up. Geez! Don't these people know I am trying to read here?
Seriously though, I loved this book! But of course Jolene excels in everything she writes in, it doesn't matter what genre it is, if it has Jolene's name on it (or her pen names) it is going to be fabulous.
Dana, hmm, where to start with her? I liked her, I really did but I also wanted to smack her a couple of times for the bad choices she made with a certain someone I won't name. I mean, really? Gah! How could she be so clueless and stupid? I know she is a smart girl but like some of us do, she was fooled by a pretty face and even prettier words.
Craig. Yeah, I won't go there with him. He did deserve to be smacked. Or maybe something a little more painful...down low.
Anyhoo moving on to Jason. Ah yes Jason. Jason I liked right from the beginning in all his mountain man gruffness he had going on.
Boz and Jasmine, such great loveable secondary characters! I adored them as well.
Dana and Jason both had past hurts they needed to heal from and both needed to learn to trust and love again. They were flawed and imperfect and I really liked how real they felt to me because of that.
This is definitely a more adult read than the others by Jolene I have read but I really enjoyed that about it. It covered more adult situations and issues without being too descriptive or over the top and was just the type of book with the right amount of romance in it and a HEA I love to get lost in over the weekend.
As with all of Jolene's work, I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great read that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside once you are done.

Okay, so the idea behind this story was great, but somewhere along the way it got lost. While it was a sweet love story in some respects, I just needed more and wanted to feel drawn more into it than I was.
First off, I nearly turned this over as a DNF because of Dana's attitude in the first several chapters. Yeah, she's supposed to be a little spoiled and snotty when we first meet her, but she spends her first scenes in the story pining after and sleeping with a married man. This I could have written off as just a selfish choice seeing as how hero cop Craig tells her his marriage is virtually over anyway. But when she crassly starts defending the affair to herself because it's fun and great sex, I started to really dislike her. It just made her seem like a self-absorbed tramp for a first impression, which isn't good. Gradually, the story shifted into the real point to it all, the love story between her and Jason. He really saved the story for me, because I really loved him and the way he put her in her place by not falling all over her really made a turning point in the book.
Jason, coming off a separation and very nearly divorced, is closed off and not interested in Dana's crap. But he (and I as well) starts to see another side to her, one that has redeeming qualities and could even be likable. I think the real pivotal moment was when Dana finally realizes how very wrong the affair was. She sees Craig is a cheating bastard and is sickened by what she did, and it scored her a few points for me. I liked where things went with her and Jason from there, it was a gradual evolution where the attraction became something they couldn't deny, and they had a sweet friendship to go along with it.
I think the biggest issues for me other than the pre-Jason Dana were the holes in the plot and the fact that it was the dreaded "tell me, don't show me" style of story. Certain parts of the story were underdeveloped and left hanging, and it made it hard for me to really connect to it. And then there's one of my biggest pet peeves with writing, especially romance stories. It's incredibly difficult to feel the emotions along with the characters when the narrations just skim the surface. Either Dana's feeling were just that shallow, or we weren't shown the true depth of what she experienced, because it didn't come across as well as it could have. And honestly, for a NA romance, this was seriously lacking in the steaminess department. It was tamed down to a PG-13 worthy performance, which is a big disappointment when you're expecting some seriously hot scenes!!
Overall, the story was good and the characters were okay, and this was a decent sweet romance read. I was expecting more, but I'm not sorry that I read it in the end.

Falling's plot is relatively simple. Dana is a key witness to a murder trial, when her life becomes threatened she is sent to a snowmobile lodge to work under rugged and bearded lodge owner Jason. Feelings develop, snowmobiles are ridden etc etc (If you want more than that then you are going to have to read the blurb).
During the first 1/3 of this book I was sitting at around 2 stars. Usually to achieve a 2 star review from me a book has to be poorly written, boring or have a character/s I can't stand (all three things and its probably at a 1).
However this book is not badly written. Its pretty much the same writing style of most romances in that its not magnificently written but unlike some books that I will not name the writing, description and dialogue didn't make me want to pull my hair out.
It was also definitely not boring. I thought this was a story that could seep into the boring department given the whole idea that they are in a lodge with not alot to do (in my opinion as I wouldn't get caught dead near snow or snow sports of any kind) but the book was well paced, and Perry didn't stretch or fill anything out.
The big problem in the first 1/3 to 1/2 of this book for me was one of the main characters. I hated Dana much the same way as Jason didn't get along with her at first. She is arrogant, spoilt, stubborn and naive. She is sleeping with a married man and doesn't even have the decency to feel guilty about it. For her its all one big adventure and she doesn't seem to see past her own desires and ideas to even think twice about the reprecussions. Instead she just ignores the warning in her head (hello girl thats your self conscious and its there for a bloody reason). At the same time I absolutely loved Jason. Who could really resist a rugged, handsome handy man who secretly writes really good novels during his spare time?
What pushed this book to 3.5 stars for me was that about 1/3-1/2 of the book Dana becomes less annoying. Yes her personality does still drive me mad but on a lesser level. Now I'm wanting her to get her HEA, instead of before I just wanted her out of the whole damn story. She is a flawed character, she makes decisions and assumptions without properly thinking them through, but at this point in the book so does Jason. So I guess I had to forgive them both for that.
Mostly this book is a nice sweet story that is suitable for a lazy hungover Sunday morning.

Bored and moving on. This story and the characters are too blah for me. I'm not getting the attraction between the two and none of it feels realistic. I'm 24 and I don't know anyone that age who has their own house (which they're having done up), or their own lodge, which everyone seems to. I certainly don't know anyone that age who can afford to own a place by themselves.
Anyway.
She's not likeable, being perfectly happy to have an affair with a married man. She feels bad about it after she meets the wife and kids and it becomes real to her, but she's a grown up. She shouldn't need to meet the guys family to know she's doing a shitty thing. Beyond that her character is just not interesting enough to change my opinion of her.
He's... fine I guess. Again, not enough going on to be an interesting character. I find it strange that he, despite claiming he hates the guy, let's his cousins husband bring the women he's sleeping with to his lodge to have an affair with them under his own roof.
I also found parts a bit disjointed - nothing major but events seemed to jump a bit. And there's a sort of subplot about her being witness in a murder case except nobody seems particularly bothered about the whole thing and nothing much has happened with that at least up until the point where I stopped reading.

I crown Jolene Perry the new queen of romance. Seriously. I loved hearing the story from two different perspectives. This was a fun, light-hearted tale that I actually kept stealing time away from other things so I could finish it. Her characters are smart and sexy, without being over the top. I was looking for a break from all the paranormal I like to read, and this did not disappoint. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good love story!

Didn't Feel It . . .
Dana is wealthy and spoiled. So when she is a witness to a murder case and the handsome cop, Craig Huffman, brings her to this dump lodge in the wilderness, she is not pleased. No fancy car, no shopping, hairy Alaskan guys, and a run-down lodge… not her idea of luxury or fun.
The lodge owner, Jason, was asked by his friend to give Dana a job waitressing while she stays out of sight until the trial. If he hadn’t needed the help so badly, he would have refused Craig’s request. He had immediately known the kind of high-maintenance woman Dana was. That’s why he left the city and moved far away from that type. But as the days went on, he learned to lighten up and enjoy her company. By the time he realizes he might be falling in love, the trial date is fast-approaching. Can he convince her to give him a chance and stay? Or is he out of time and may have to let her go?
One of the risky things an author can do is to make a character so dislikable at the start, when a reader is meeting characters and forming opinions, that by the time that characters changes or becomes redeemable, the reader no longer cares. Dana is one such character, although I never saw her redeem herself. Her choices were not good. I realize it was to depict wealth and a dismissive attitude, but her actions sleeping with the married cop and stealing Jason’s draft of his book and sending it to someone to read, went beyond forgivable for some of us. I wasn’t even sure what Jason saw in her. I’d be saying good riddance.

Jason and Dana meet under strange circumstances, as she is a witness to people involved in a murder and he owns a half-redone lodge in the wilderness of Alaska - it takes snowmachines to reach it. He is just signing a divorce paper and she is slated to be working with her father soon in St. Louis. Dana fills in as a waitress and all around helper while she is there. At first they are at odds, but seeing her with other friends, he starts to get to know her.
The characters are terrific, with great backstories and intense feelings. Loved how riding the snow eased their tensions. Justine was a perfect addition to the group and became a great friend to Dana. The storyline was action-packed in quite a few areas, while the locale descriptions were tranquil and easy to visualize. The romance was a struggle for them as they felt one way but kept putting the idea on the back burner, not talking it out. Loved the ending and the email that caused it. Well done.

Jason and Dana meet by chance when she is taken to his lodge to hide out in Alaska after witnessing the perpetrator of a crime. Jason is not really a fan of Dana at first because he believes she is sleeping with Craig, who is married to her cousin. Dana, for her part, is totally taken in by Craig and seems oblivious to his lies. She is not really a fan of Jason at first and really doesn't have any issues letting him know. Dana was pretty much overbearing throughout this book. I am not a fan of her invading his privacy. Also wasn't a fan of her going hot and cold throughout this book. She was young and did have a pretty sheltered life prior to getting there. Jason, for his part, is trying to come to terms with the end of his marriage. He was laid back and easy going which I think Dana took for not caring. Their story was interesting and did keep me entertained. The side characters were a good addition to the story. As with the first book, I would have like an epilogue that was further in the future, but did like how this wrapped up.

This is book two in The Meyer Brother's Series and it is Jason and Dana's story. The characters and storyline pulled you in right from the first page and I couldn't put this book down. This is the first book that I have read by Jolene Perry but definitely not the last as it was so well written and definitely worth reading.

This is my first time reading a book by this author and it won't be my last. Jason agreed out of friendship to let Dana stay at his lodge. He sees Dana as a beautiful and spoiled woman which is what he usually avoids. The more time they spend together, the more his viewpoint starts to change. His time with her is limited, will she choose to stay or will she go back to the city?

A fun, entertaining read. The characters fight their attraction to one another. The story was enjoyable, easy to read. The character fit well together and have amazing chemistry. This is the second book in this Meyer Brother series. I am looking forward to read more in this series. A great book.

Very good romance
It's a very good, very well written and loving romance between Dana and Jason, which begins on one story line that is a bit thriller, and evolves into another kind.
The tale is not scorching even though it is imbued with sexual tension, attraction, but it is still excellent in the way you hold onto the characters.

It's a very good, very well written and loving romance between Dana and Jason, which begins on one story line that is a bit thriller, and evolves into another kind.
The tale is not scorching even though it is imbued with sexual tension, attraction, but it is still excellent in the way you hold onto the characters.

I love the suspense and the German story season pass had me shopping other parts had me thinking do it already this is a great story to wind down and relax with read if you wont regret it

This is book 2 in the Meyer brothers series. the characters are pretty good with an enjoyable storyline. There is a few twists and turns

I absolutely love this hot, steamy, captivating book with exceptional characters in an erotic world that is so realistic it felt like I was on the journey with them. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author that knows how to captivate the attention of their readers.
