This was really cute. I felt that the art wasn't always that strong, or to my liking. More details on the dates and romance within them would have been nice. That way there would have been a greater connection to the developement of the characters/story.
Hmm...what can I say...well, first of all I need to say: I'm a total otaku - I LOVE manga VERY MUCH & I also love romance novels, so it's not such a surprise, that I liked this graphic novel. To begin with, I think I like every graphic novel I had my hands on, it's just a matter of "how much". I didn't read original novel by Julianna MORRIS, so I can't say how accurate this graphic version is, but I liked the story. The only thing, that I didn't like was art. Really! I've seen some other works of ITO Kako, and I, kind of, liked them, but art in "A Date with a Billionaire" was like...draft...
Girl's friend enters her into a contest to make her happy again, girl wins and refuses. Boy meets girl, likes her and plans to make her his. Girl fights the whole way into she finds out she wants him bad. They have a happy ending. Typical Harlequin romance but in manga form!
