Caillou: Bath Time

Caillou has become quite dirty while playing outside. Now it's bath time. Caillou plays in the tub and gets all cleaned up, at least until the next day. Caillou finds that he has as much fun in the tub as he does in the mud.

Only gets three stars from me because Daddy only shows up to dry him off after the bath; Mommy does everything else. Step up, Daddy.

Caillou is busy playing in the garden. Of course, given Caillou's age he is getting somewhat dirty. After his mother comes over to see the caterpilar he found she takes one look at him and decides it is time for a bath. After he has his bath he decides he is going to play in the garden again tomorrow. This was a cute little book that I am sure a really young child will enjoy having read to them at night. Happy reading.

This board book has wonderfully large pictures showing Caillou playing in the mud where he discovers a caterpillar. Since he is so muddy, his mother takes him in for a bath then pajamas and bed. Although it has more text than most that other board books, the pictures are in bright, primary colors and depict activities to which most children can relate. Therefore, I think it would keep the attention of the younger ones, while also be a good beginning reader book.
