“What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” For the eight members of the Anticipation Travel Club (DAT Club) — this popular motto doesn’t exactly ring true. The group is sorely reminded that dirt is dirt is dirt, no matter where it happens and eventually folks are going to find out about it, no matter how hard they try to cover up their individual misdeeds.
Identical twins Madetra Howard, a frustrated, inner-city hospital doctor and Elantra Evans, a stripper/web-porn operator, start a travel club and along for the ride Madetra’s uncaring husband who secretly loves his sister-in-law and is hell-bent on distancing himself from his humble beginnings, a self-absorbed local TV anchorman who develops a thing for every woman he meets, a mysterious psychiatrist who is nuttier than his patients, a female TV news producer whose affair with a fellow travel club member leaves her pregnant and reeling, a reporter whose Sex & The Single Sistah column reveals a little too much about the city’s elite and a petty drug dealer/minor league baseball player who will do anything or anyone to get out of the cut and into the major leagues.
For DAT Club , all hell breaks loose following a trip to Las Vegas. With secrets as deep and twisted as the road is long — everyone is in peril when a blackmailer and killer among them makes their presence known. Each of them must learn for themselves there are consequences to be paid for their actions — and when the men start dying off — the women start questioning their allegiances, their safety and their sanity.

Mad Issues,
We all got issues, don't we? If you're sitting there unaware of what issues you may own, then you may want to quickly get some help, because obviously you're MAD!
D.A.T. (Destination: Anticipation Travel) Club is based in Kansas City, Kansas where seven people unite and decide to travel together. Each member's itinerary is different.
Darryn Price is an accountant for a consulting firm. He is greedy when it comes to women, money and material possessions. He heavily begins indulging and finds himself wickedly addicted. No longer consider an asset, Darryn slips down a slippery slope.
Madetra Price originally wanted to travel with her husband, Darryn, every quarter. After eleven years of marriage, they are in a rut and uncertainty hovers over them. Madetra has a big heart and places the need of her husband, patients, sister and friends above her own. Now as she's entangled in a maze of her very own, Madetra finds that she likes the wilder side of life.
E'an Shaw is a psychiatrist with unshakable confidence. He's so busy with his own frenzied thoughts that he places his livelihood on the line for a prospect of attaining his hearts desire.
Kaylantra Ellis and Madetra are identical twins. Where Madetra exudes intelligence and kindness, Kaylantra has a money maker that has the men all on pause. It's all about the currency for Kay as she performs her one woman show for her admirer.
Finesse Brown is a vain, arrogant, low-budget TV anchor. He always knew that he was destined for greatness. It doesn't hurt that the women that surround themselves with him don't mind helping him to the finish line.
Destanie Beri is an overzealous producer. She has a degree in journalism, but with her temperament and determination she would be an asset in investigations.
Gerald St. John is a popular message therapist. With his golden touch and tongue action he definitely has patients waiting to grace his tables and pockets. His dream has always been to play professional baseball, however he's also always lived on the darker side and often ransacked his own life.
TRIPPIN' is the sophomore release by author Michelle Buckley. I was surprised to find a mystery jam-packed with sex, deception, surprises and murder. Although I would have loved more of a thriller, I was pleased with the twisted tone of Trippin'. As always I found myself cracking up with Michelle's unique words.
Whether by train, plane or automobile, TRIPPIN' is sure to have readers roving a very jarring journey.
