Incredible! In 96 pages Sailhamer gives you a complete literary hack (Life hack?) to the entire Old Testament. In 96 pages Sailhamer unlocks the Old Testament. Someone should name their 3rd son Sailhamer for he is the Old Testament father that we have all wished for, didn't know we had, but have now discovered.

A super simple and short summary of Old Testament from creation through the beginning of the New Testament. The last few sections on world history and Jewish religious history between the time of Nehemiah and Jesus was super interesting.

A great brief overview of OT History. A good read before jumping into the OT to get some context.

Sailhamer's volume is a great guide to understanding the timeline of the Old Testament. By providing this framework, it helps all the individual stories find their theological purpose and space.
