The Christian Life is a short book by a Presbyterian pastor about the journey of the Christian life. He touches many deep ideas briefly, in well-written prose with great stories (personal and literary) to illustrate. It would have been nice if it were even longer. I appreciate his careful use of language, his focus on the incarnation (touched by Orthodoxy it seems), and his inclusion of sections on the American dangers of consumerism and careerism.
