Brother John’s clear analysis brings out the depth of both Jesus’ compassion & of this woman’s faith & intelligence. Brother John’s clear writing is filled with rich detail that bring this encounter into high relief. I really loved this book. It is brief & to the point - you walk away from it understanding the longest theological discussion in John’s Gospel & you also witness how Jesus’ conversation with the unnamed Samaritan woman is a model for how to listen, engage, & spread the Good News!
