Sibling Revelry

Rate this book
Wild-child Drake and goody-goody Josh are as different as two kids can be - the only things they share are their families and their room!

Drake and Josh have signed up for a salsa-making competition. They're determined to win--the flat screen TV that's first prize. But their competition is Megan and she's not about to lose to her older brothers!

Then the two boys have a ridiculous bet that has Drake giving up his beloved junk food and Josh giving up his video games. The stakes are high. Whoever loses has to dye his hair pink! And once again Megan is more than willing to "help" the boys ensure that fair play is the rule.

Day two of my Drake and Josh reading week!

This book is based off of two very iconic episodes, The Bet is probably more iconic with several memes coming out of it but I know the Puff Pepper episode gets lots of love.

I often forget that Miranda Cosgrove played Megan, and the actress herself is an icon, as is Megan's character. She was really an OG of "sweet little girl is evil", it's so funny.

Again, these books are so well written. Even when being based off of episodes that I know and love well, I can still enjoy them.

There's an iconic moment in the first story where Megan keeps blasting Drake and Josh with a water pistol, and I remember seeing this meme where it was on PornHub titled "brunette gets boobs soaking wet" and I just find that so funny because SHE CALLS THEM BOOBS. How ever did Nickelodeon get away with that? But the nowadays they're going against the late Stephen Hillenburg's wishes and green lighting everything even Paul Tibbit himself said Steve would've hated. So yeah. A little girl saying "boobs" on Nickelodeon in 2007 isn't as dramatic as it once was.

Oh and the band comment is TOTALLY a reference to the Chilli Peppers.

CAT LIKE REFLEXES WHAT AN ICONIC MOMENT

Oh my god the charge for the doctor doing absolutely nothing is SO relevant.

OH MY GOD I FORGOT THEY SAID SPAZ THAT WOULD NOT HAPPEN TODAY.

I love the little detail that each parent bet on their stepchild as opposed to their own, it really shows how tight the family dynamic is.

I remember how terribly obvious the wigs were in the Bet episode, it was so funny.

In conclusion, I really love this book just as much as I did two years ago! It's so funny and very iconic.
