[Siren Menage Erotic Cowboy Menage a Quatre Romance, F/M/M/M, Contemporary] Erin Robinson moved to Desire, Oklahoma to be with her pregnant sister, unprepared for the dynamics of her new home. Menage and Dom/sub relationships prevail in a town where the men protect their women at all costs. Men had always been more trouble than they were worth. Erin can't imagine trying to put up with any man. Three would be impossible! But the men in Desire are different than any she has ever known. How can she resist men who earn her respect and aren't the least bit intimidated by her temper? When someone tries to kill her, Jared, Duncan and Reese Preston scramble to protect her. At the same time, they're determined to show her just how good having three men in her bed can be. A Siren Erotic Romance
well if you wanted to know what it would be like to be the family pet, this is the series to read. Thats how the women in these series are loved and treated not like a human lover. This series has an interesting idea but again poorly executed and with each book its gets worse. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be loved and respected out of the bed room, and that didn't happen, all it took was some trying to kill, for the man to get her to their ran and make her a love slave. This story fails, she is nothing but a object to be owned by these men who wouldn't have gotten her, if someone wasn't trying to kill her. I found this book more insulting then anything.
Sorry this just my opinion. (I said it before i say now, play in the bed room and treat the woman you love like a human being with the respect she deserves)
*** Leah Brooke is a new author for me. I loved this story! She works the characters well, weaves a good story, and you feel connected. It begins a bit fast, but was necessary to the story. I was so tuned into the erotic sex scenes, I was surprised at myself.
I got the other books in this series also. That shows how much I liked them. Enjoy!
I am glad I didn't give up on this writer. The 4th book in the Desire series was soooooo much better than the first three. It managed to earn 2 more whole stars! LOL
I am not sure if her editors or agent or whomever stepped in and told Ms. Brooke to write a story and include steamy sex scenes, instead of writing a bunch of steamy sex scenes and throw a little story in.
The Preston brothers were much less over bearing and annoying then the other men of Desire. Erin is a strong willed woman who really wants to be with them, but tries to think though what living with three men would actually be like. This managed to hold her back for a while, and the brothers do their best to convince her otherwise.
I've read somewhere that there is a fifth book, and I may just have to give it a try.
Rachel annoyed me with all her 'will i make them jealous?' Crap. What can I say? I think I prefer my me ages hot heavy and passionate. None of this over the top emotion, fear and self consciousness. I still read the entire book, but I am starting to think Leah Brooke might not be the author for me in this genre.
I think I may just have to give up on this series. Brooke has done a nice job of creating a community of very interesting characters, and at the end of each book, she offers an intriguing introduction to the characters featured in the next book. So, I start the next book and become irritated once again as I read through lengthy, repetitive sex scenes that I've read in each previous book. I know this is erotica but Brooke has managed to reduce lovemaking to stick Tab A into Slot B, C, and D, repeat and repeat and repeat, etc. Although the men are supposedly tender with the women, there is next to no attempt at seduction or expressions of affection or allowing the women to become comfortable with a ménage relationship. Remove several sex scenes and replace them with scenes of seduction and you'd have a much sexier story.
I'm not new to erotic literature, and each book has so much potential with the story surrounding the characters, but this author just doesn't seem to realize that good erotic literature should include a well designed story not just numerous formulaic sex scenes.
Erin Robinson moved to Desire, Oklahoma with only one goal in mind to be there for pregnant sister. Erin has had a hard time adjusting to the lifestyles of most of the residents, it's not that she opposes their preferences it is she does not understand how jealousy would not be a huge part of the relationships.
Jared, Duncan, and Reese Preston have set their eyes on Erin and plan to claim her. She is giving them one hell of a chase as she goes out of her way to avoid them, but they are not going to thwarted. When Erin becomes a victim of poisoning, right in front of their eyes they have to rethink their plan for courting her, instead they are moving her into their home and protecting her when it becomes apparent someone is out to hurt her.
I liked this one a lot, 4.99 on rating but I did get a bit tired of Erin's reluctance where jealousy was concerned. You could tell that it was a control/jealousy problem that has her conflicted from taking what she really wants.
I absolutely love the stories in the Desire books. ONE thing I have learned is that I should not have read them one right after another, I basically read one a day. The sex is smoking and overwhelmed me but I think it is because it is so weel written and be cause I was reading one after another. The books that I should have read something else between were Creation of Desire and Rules of Desire, both were menage.
I just started Dark Desire last night and am already in love with it, I hat that I am at work and can't read the rest of it.
Even being overwhelmed I couldn't put the books down. Leah Brooke grabs you with the stories/characters and overheats you with sizzling sex =)
I loved this twist in this book. Erin was not expecting to see the brothers again but after moving to desire to help Rachel her pregnant sister here they are. Great story and HEA.
It was a hot read, I felt the story started strong, and then it just got repetitive. The leading lady was always complaining, and I mean ALWAYS! "I cant do this" "this is not for me" "omg, they are going to be jealous all the time over me" "I cant live with them because of jealousy" yadda yadda yadda! I swear 50% of the books was just that.
I struggled a little over half way, I could get myself to continue reading because she just kept complaining. And. I cant believe I'm saying this... but it was to much sex...
If 50% of the book was her complaint, 40% of it was just sex. No story, no character delevopment.. just ugh...
The reason it still gets a 3 star and not a 2 Is because the beginning had me hooked. The start had potential and I loved the idea of it, I have a soft spot for managé books. But that's it... oh well.. I'll continue on the hunt for an amazing menagé story, this one is done.
Erin is still in small town Desire after originally coming there to see that her sister was settled and happy with her two men – she has now moved there herself. With Desire the town of Ménage and Dom/ Sub relationships she is way out of her element – because Erin has never had any interest in the male population as she has always had too much on her plate.
Three men of Desire has taken a shine to Erin and she is not happy – she has problem thinking the maintenance of a relationship with one man is difficult she fails to see how a relationship with three men will work. Desire however does not operate on that basis and she soon finds herself under Jared, Duncan and Reese Preston protection because someone is clearly out for Erin and that is one thing that not only the town will not put up with but her three men has just about gone feral in their zest to protect her.
Erin feels she is more than capable of taking of herself – so the threat literally slides off her back, she is more concern about the fact that three men are determined to make her their own and she is scared but finds herself caught between a rock and three hard bodies
I love small town Desire – I wish someone would pack me away and ship me there – no return address. Who wouldn’t love a town where the men are literally falling off the tree in bunches of two’s and three’s and only one woman get to keep the lucky, sexy bunch of men.
Jared, Duncan and Reese are sexy, dripping hot and as arrogant as you can get – they have set their sights on Erin to be their own and they were not backing down. When dangers literally comes a calling they wrap her up in cotton wool. Erin has always been the independent sort and does not take kindly to this sensual manhandling – no matter what her body says.
The three brothers know what they want, they have always known and they have lived their lives with the expectation of finding that one woman – after meeting Erin they all knew this was no flash in the pan attraction and they go in for the kill the first chance they get. However before they can make any decent inroad in forming a bond – they have to battle whatever danger that is following Erin as well as Erin herself, because she is the biggest risk to the survival of their relationship.
I love the third book in the Desire, Oklahoma series – RULES OF DESIRE not only deals with another ménage forming but give a bit more of the structure of the town of Desire. Ms. Brooke’s does not let up on any of the detail of the angst that these four protags go through – I really liked the fact that she tackles some of the straight forward stuff like jealousy, trust, acceptance and honesty in this book – I can clearly see alot of thought and some level of objectivity went into this book. I was impressed.
I wont elaborate on the smut – Let me just say there was smut and a healthy amount of it and I LOVE IT!
All the old faces makes an appearance – and catch up is done on relationships to ensure I understood who was doing what to whom and who had a torch burning for who. The funny moment were few and far between but I cracked up when they appeared – nice touch.
The built up of the danger and the fear factor not only tied the plot together, but was nicely done I thought, so well done in fact that the who done it didn’t really live up to the anticipation that Ms. Brooke wrapped the book in. It was over before I could blink – that however took nothing away from how good this book was – I am loving Ms. Brooke’s voice in RULES OF DESIRE and can’t wait for the next book in the Desire, Oklahoma series.
HOT DAMN. Ms. Brooke's Desire, Oklahoma series just gets better and better!
In the fourth book of the series, Erin Robinson moves to the small, unique town of Desire to be near her pregnant sister, Rachel. Erin's move to Desire is purely out of concern and love for her sister, so she gets a lot more than she bargained for when she meets the Preston brothers. Jared, Duncan, and Reese have had their sights on Erin for awhile, and a threat to Erin's safety sends her right into their arms, and under their protection. With Erin finally in their house, the brothers have no plans of letting her go, but Erin is strong-willed, independent and highly skeptical about how a ménage relationship can work, even though they live in a town where happy ménage relationships are practically the norm.
I loved so many aspects of this book that I'm almost a loss of where to start. First, let me praise Ms. Brooke. I loved the banter between the characters and the funny dialogues that were well-written and entertaining, as well as a refreshing and appreciated change of pace that gave this book substance and a good plot. I never felt like this book only sex (even though there's plenty of that and it's hot!) because from page one, the characters were real and funny, and there was a definite plot and even a hook for the next book in the series.
Now, let's talk BOYS. I absolutely loved Jared, Duncan and Reese. They were the perfect alpha-males, and each in their own way. Their personalities weren't too overbearing or annoyingly controlling, but just the right amount for any girl who enjoys those types of characters (especially me!). And the sex was white hot! Desire men seem to really know what they're doing!
Overall, this was definitely my favorite book in the series! I love this series and will continue reading it until the very end!
Book four of desire Oklahoma series, this book focuses on Erin Robinson who recently moved to Desire, to be closer to her pregnant sister Rachel. Erin struggles with emotional demons from her past in regards to father’s unfaithfulness which led to her parents death when she was eighteen years old and Rachel was thirteen she’s blamed herself all these years because of that incident that’s why she won’t emotionally commit to a ménage relationship with three brothers who are crazy about her Reese, Jared and Duncan Preston make custom furniture for a living and have been waiting for the perfect woman to share their life with but Erin is proving difficult but that’s not the only issue someone is targeting Erin which forces the three brothers to rally around her to protect her, as she is attacked several times drugged with ghb at the Christmas party, the support cable to her apartment stairs are severed, she’s shot out, her belongings are stolen and shredded. I liked the surprise twist that it was Jim the Preston’s hand who was secretly in love with them and he saw Erin as a threat and started going after her. I loved the confrontation at the end with Erin using self defence techniques on him saving herself and Duncan in the process. I liked reading that showed the male characters that woman aren’t weak and dependent on men for protection. I loved the introduction to Hope who is creating a woman’s club lady desire her story with sheriff Ace will be the next book. I liked the community coming together with them being unhappy that in the last year three women have been attacked I like reading about the protectiveness for the women of desire it’s heartwarming to read. This book had a lot of emotions humor, sadness, on the edge of your seat wondering what’s going to happen next I recommend reading this series if your into small town ménage romances.
Erin is still unsettled when it comes to handling menage relationships. She's constantly afraid of the jealousy and so while her body is eager for the sex, her mind still battles it.
The Preston brothers Jared, Reese, and Duncan have her on their sights and they don't want to let go. What's amusing is Erin has now 3 men, when she didn't care much for one before. I liked how the mystery was written.
I didn't mind the frequent sex scenes where the brothers try to convince her how perfect she is for them. All of them are smoking hot and your AC must be running when you read it.
I always fail to comment on how I like Ms Brooke's writing when it comes to the scenes. They run on instinct with a lot of unspoken communication. Everything is sensual with varying speed. I also like how Ms Brooke differentiated the brothers. Jared is cool and cunning, Reese easygoing, and Duncan the most intense with a flaring temper.
My favorite parts are the ones in the big tub, with bubble baths. The mystery has been resolved and I liked how Erin saved the day. The usual spanking is here, with anal play, and other erotic delights.
This story has a foreboding of the next. It's obvious that Sheriff Ace has the hots for Hope Sanderson, but thinks she's too young and innocent for him. I'm currently reading it as I write this.
I have to admit, this is my favouritist of all the Desire books so far!! There is something about Erin, Jared, Duncan and Reese and their dynamic that constantly knocks my socks off! This story will knock your socks off - it is smokin' hot and Erin is super spunky, which is just what these three brothers need If you haven't read any of the Desire books, they can all stand alone, and this is the #4 in the series. Book 3 was Rachel's story, and this Rachel's big sister Erin who has come to town to help her little sister out. Erin was 18 and Rachel 13 when their parents died, so she had the pleasure of raising her little sister through the teen years Used to being self-sufficient and generally liked by all, the town can't figure out why she is suddenly under attack by somebody Jared, Duncan and Reese are the three brothers who have laid claim to Erin, and fight it though she may, she keeps giving in to the hunky furniture makers While the brothers appreciate Erin's strength, they are constantly explaining why they have the rules they do, and that they are to keep her safe, a big deal when someone is after her As the men figure out and get to know Erin better, she in turn does the same for each of them, and all four finally understand the reasons for the Rules of Desire!
This entire series, each story had a good plot but ended up being poorly executed. The males were overprotective to the extent that they felt like jailers instead of lovers to me.
I did enjoy how the story started out but it all went downhill from there. Erin irritated the heck out of me with her whole "are they jealous?" thing. Especially her fear of making them jealous of each other. The back story to that was rather poorly crafted and could've used more finesse and tack.
It would have made the story more excited to have a POV of the person who was trying to hurt Erin instead of us dropping the bomb at the end, which made the story even more dramatic and unrealistic. Having overprotective alpha males are good but I felt that they were seriously OTT and disrespectful of Erin. She ain't your slave, but a woman you love.
Once you learn the rules you’ll be expected to follow, everything should be fine."
Characters fell flat and disinterested me over the course of the story. Steam was good but mixed with Erin's issue with jealousy, made it hard to read.
Of the 4 books so far in this seies, I like this one the least although it is not terrible.
I was not happy with the female lead's attitude. She was spoiled, rude, demanding, unapproachable....WHY would the brothers decide they wanted her as their wife? I mean, what a Bi&^h!! Then, at the end, she just completely does a 180 and is all sweet and romantic. Too unrealistic for me although I enjoyed the mystery of who was trying to kill her. I never figured it out til right before the reveal. That was great!
This is the first book I read in this seriesBut it's definitely not the last ...
I love Desire so very much ... Who wouldn't love a town with Alpha-male, Hot, domineering, overbearing, and totally irresistible men!
Hoping to read more books from this series and getting to know a little bit more about what happenes with Erin, Jared, Duncan, and Reese through the stories of the other town's folks... I'm especially looking forward to sheriff Ace's story with Hope!
So far, I'm having to completely suspend my disbelief and go with the flow. The men in this book are like the Alpha Stepford Men. It is a bit disconcerting at times, but still interesting.
Finished it, and it ended all right. Good to pass a little time, but there are better reads out there.
All I can say is this book is not for the faint of heart. Can you say HOT!!!!I would read these books in order because so many of the character are in each others books. I'm not big in real life for a man to run a womans life but in these books it works. Fantasy is a great thing. If you like books that take you to a place where you might have only thought of then give them a try.
I didn't think it will ever happen to me but it finally did... I got realy angry in this series. usually I don't have a problem in sex scenes but in this books it seems that that is all we have here. sex in the morning. sex after you get shot, sex in the bathroom and sex after riding a horse. and the plot? don't matter. for conclusion: disappointing
I wanted to love this one. I've been waiting for Erin's story. But it's just not... nice as the other ones. The menage sex is hot, but the guys kind of treat her like she's stupid. But the sex is insanely hot. What woman wouldn't like three dudes working together to pleasure her?
This book has it all. Lust, danger, sexy men, a woman who is truly strong and doesn't take any crap from anyone. I honestly didn't know who the culprit was and was surprised by it. As always it was good to read more about the people in Desire. It still makes me wish it was real!
When Erin is drugged at the Christmas Party - Jared, Duncan and Reese can't believe it and they, then proceed to do everything they can to keep her safe. When you finally find out who wants to hurt her you'll be shocked.
I loved this story of Erin and her three protective lovers and the twists and turns in the plot. One more story added to this towns repertoire and just as intriguing as the others before it......so delve in and enjoy the world which is Desire.
The fourth book in the Desire Oklhoma series. I loved this one! I think it may be my second favorite. Really great relationships and romance... I hope that the author has a 5th one coming out soon!!
