Very well written. A ghost story (romance) with both that and the modern day (romance) of the H/h intertwined.

Unique, whimsical story.

Jonathan is a strong character who knows his wants and knows Amelia better than she realizes. Amelia encounters a ghost, Elizabeth, who knew what she wanted, but didn’t get it due to the war and Spanish influenza. The reader is treated to a story from the early 1900s as well as a contemporary tale. Elizabeth has some unfinished business she must address before being able to cross to the other side. Amelia also has unresolved issues that will determine whether or not she will return to Jonathan. The house is a nice setting for this account of love across the ages. A wonderfully unique story that will satisfy all readers of the romance genre.

As far as paranormal romance goes, this is possibly one of the sweetest tales I've read this year (not that the year has been long but I'm sort of including last year's reads).

This is not my chosen genre but I do occasionally dip into titles across the borders, so to speak, and this one impressed me.

Sandra is a good story-teller who is able to bring across lovely dialogue between characters. The only part of the novel that annoyed me somewhat was Amelia's stubborn denial of her feelings toward her husband, which stretched my suspension of disbelief a bit but otherwise, this was a quick, entertaining read that I'll definitely remember to mention.

And I'll definitely read some of Sandra's other works, should I encounter them.
