I checked this out at the library because being a beekeeper has always been a goal of mine. Unfortunately I won’t be in a position to have a hive of my own for a couple years, but it was interesting and exciting to learn about what goes into keeping bees. This book had more information on bees themselves than I really cared to know, but it’s good to be knowledgeable I guess.
It's a nice and informative book but I cannot give it five stars. The layout is very wonky and it is difficult to tell what's a photo note and what's the main body text. It also seems to be written like an essay which makes me wonder if this is Derek Hall's first book. The photos in the book are very nice though, and I did learn new things.
