A collection of true short stories about more than 20 haunted objects located across the country. From Maine to Florida and New Jersey to Ohio the owners of these haunted objects tell what it's like to own a collectible or piece of antique furniture that has refused "to give up the ghost." This is the book some antique dealers do not want you to buy.
Very intriguing stories. I am a person who is always at thrift shops, antique stotes, yard sales etc. Deep down I belive I acquired a few things with spiritual attachments. Although nothing as extreme as these. And hoping i don't ever have thr misfortune.
Personal stories of haunted items. Some I found hard to believe or thought could be explained by the power of suggestion or mental illness and delusions, but I still found this interesting and at the very least got some ideas for stories. I would have liked it if there were pictures of some of these items, but that would have been hard to do for many of them since the people no longer had them. I was especially intrigued by the story of the Wiccan chair.
The author told his tales with tongue in cheek but the people he interviewed told their tales in an authentic voice and the author was able to convey their sincerity.
