This book first disappoints in the introduction, where it unquestioningly repeats the popular belief that salt is bad (one of our "worst enemies of health and longevity"). This is the kind of unbalanced rubbish which hospitalised a co-worker's husband for salt deficiency. We need salt to live.

Further in, I read about comfrey and noted that there was no warning whatsoever that it may become invasive and weedy. There was no discussion of using Russian comfrey which is sterile and will not self-seed, and therefore is less likely to become a garden escape.

I've decided not to read any more, because although there may be valuable anecdotes within this book, I am unable to trust that I will be given the full picture.

This book is a must for anyone who loves Herbs. I cannot begin to tell you how many times my family or myself have pulled out this book and looked up a herb to find out its properties. It is so remarkable what this amazing author has been able to gift the planet with this amazingly awesome book.

I have used this book to make herbal teas, salad and garnish ideas and infused oils using specific herbs for medicinal purposes.

While yes this Australian and perfect for our climate - any country can benefit from her knowledge.
