A beautiful black leathersoft design, comfort print NIV, with silver gilding, this is a lovely bible for men and would make a great gift for a husband or dad.
Just like the bible for women that Zondervan has released, this has a full year's worth of devotions written by well-known and respected men for men. A couple of names I recognised when having a look: Rick Warren, Lee Strobel, Gary Chapman, Tony Evans, and Philip Yancey. There are many more, and you can read else contributed in the biographies section. There is also a reading plan located at the back of the bible too, which I always find a very useful feature to have.

With the devotionals, there are also application statements, questions for reflection, and points to take away.
The features are to encourage and help you on your walk with God by presenting weekday and weekend devotions that are useful for your life today. A variety of topics are covered in the devotionals such as prayer, work, communication, relationships, marriage , kids, spiritual training, waiting on God, worship, purpose, and more.

A great everyday bible to deepen and grow your relationship with God and His Word.

The first time I read the Bible from Cover to Cover it was with the Men's Devotional Bible NIV. This is the first Bible I ever bought for myself, in 1996, when I was not even a Christian. The daily snippets within each go along with adjacent passages in the Bible, and are written by many different men of God including Reggie White, Tony Dungy, Charles Spurgeon, and Chuck Colsun. Each of the devotionals speaks to the heart of a man seeking a relationship with God. At least, it spoke to my heart. I still have this bible on my shelf and pull it out from time to time to pick up some insight into what it means to be a man chosen by God to serve. I highly recommend this Bible for any man seeking a closer relationship with God.

Let me be clear...I'm giving 5 stars for the Bible itself. If I were ranking the devotions separate from the Bible, I could only give 1 star. Too many of the devotions felt like they were written for an audience of men who were only interested in talking about sports, work, and family values. (When I say "family values" here, I use the phrase in the way that it has been hijacked for political debate, a narrow, restrictive, judgmental, unimaginative phrase.) If that's all that the Bible was about, it wouldn't have survived as anything more than an academic curiosity.

It's a lot more than that.

This is my favorite version of the bible because it is written in modern English. This men's study bible also has excerpts and passages by famous men of faith and ministers. The holy Spirit reveals something new to me every time I read His word. I have now read this version from beginning to end several times already. I will continue to this for the rest of my life because God's Word feeds my soul and helps me to handle this life. Praise God for His Word,

Read the bible cover to cover as a kid during catechism to not have to listen to the boring teacher. Good stories back then. Got this bible from my wonderful, very Catholic mother who was hoping the neat format and helpful notes would inspire me. I'm happy, my family is happy, I try to make the world a better place.

I am now reading this version for the thirteenth time. I treasure this study bible! The commentaries are so appropriate, in-depth, and touching. The weekend notes are inspiring and motivational. The print is readable and it is a joy to read. I always get a new grain of wisdom with each re-reading and study. You will be blessed by this version of a study and devotional bible.

I have been reading this bible for my daily devotions now for over 10 years. This is my favorite and most used (devotional) Bible. It has been everywhere I go and I take it along whenever I travel. I enjoy and get so much out of the devotionals and associated scriptures that correlate with the daily devotionals.

I will never "finish" this one.
