Leah Kendrick is guilty of only one crime: loving her human mate, Tom, enough to give him the gift of The Bite. The Pack council is merciless, and the punishment swift. In an instant everything she’s ever known is ripped away, and they’re turned out into the long winter with nothing. No money, no car, and no protection from a variety of creatures who’d like nothing more than to take down a lone wolf.
Friendless and broke, they form a daring plan to take back what’s theirs and chase safety north. But the Pack has other ideas. And with time running out it’s about to call their bluff…
Not bad, not good. Interesting, infuriating premise. The idea is, when you join the local werewolves they vet you, and then you're in, like a cult. They own you. They own your property. They have a psychic link with the whole pack.
This is a great fascinating premise, so naturally it opens with the main couple getting kicked out for the heroine making the hero a werewolf without permission from the pack. They take her money, her car, everything, and she has a day to leave before they kill her.
I DNFed roughly thirty pages in because it was too stressful for me. The writing was solid and I'll check out more by this author, but this book wasn't for me.
Leah, a wolf and member of the Blackstone Wolf clan. She has broken the number one rule by taking a human as a mate. She's about to learn just how harsh her world can be...
If your looking for a good werewolf story, give this one a try. This was an entertaining novella that I really enjoyed. Run, Wolf has intense fighting scenes and sexy interludes. This is good beginning to a new series.
This is a novella length werewolf story which follows Leah and Tom as they navigate some interesting scenarios.
It follows a lot of werewolf tropes (shared thoughts, mates, pack dynamics etc) but explores some of the lesser known ones too, like half-wolf, half-human forms and how the werewolves feed themselves after a change.
Some of the writing is gorgeously painting visuals, while other parts are kind of simplistic. It’s not consistent which disrupted the flow of the story and dropped a star from my rating.
Overall, this was an enjoyable, quick read. If you like werewolf stories with a little spice, this one might just be what you’re looking for.
This was a short read and I certainly enjoyed this book. RUN,WOLF starts off with a tension filled setting with Leah Kendrick's being brought up to the task by the wolf council for doing the unthinkable.
Not really seeing a big issue with what she has done, because one, both parties were in agreement and secondly it was a ‘of free will” sort of event, but not so for the council and for this Lea and her mate Tom must face the consequences.
These consequences are at the least immediate and at the most 24hrs before a certain style of retribution is levelled against them. Leah is a rebel to the core and is not willing to take this sort of treatment lying down. After all they have left her with nothing and she was not going out like that.
With Tom, faithful to her and only her they make a plan and executed it, their only flaw is the unknown and this might just be the thing that gets them killed.
Sweet read, loads of kick ass action and nothing of fair play and I loved it. Not a lot of character development or even any build up of the setting, the book was all about Leah and Tom getting their own back and the after effect of it all.
A few support cast were introduced and straight off it was love or hate and believe me I had a healthy dose of hate going for the support cast. Don’t expect romance or cute words or phrases – this was down and dirty and totally rocking.
This is the first book in the NIGHTFALL WOLF CLAN series and I am excited about this series, there are things I hope the author build up on and things I hope he never change – but all in all I am so looking forward to the next book in the series.

While this was an employable read, it was a bit to short. I really like Leah & Tom...you don't really get to know them, it is a pretty fast paced read, lots of action...I look forward to the second book where hopefully we will find out more about Leah and Tom.
Short story, intersesting. I wonder if there will be another book since this one was written/published in 2009. It does leave some questions unanswered so the ending does leave you to think another book will come. Its told by Leah's view and Leah is a strong wolf who i think has capabilities to be an alpha and i would like to know more about her and her mate Tom is strong and capable of taking care of himself since he was recent turned wolf by Leah.
I read a comment that said it seemed rush and maybe that was true in that the details weren't drawn out to give you the exact details but it gives you just a brief overview so you understand the situation.
This started out promising but left me feeling disappointed by the end of it. It's quite a short book - 50 pages in the ebook version I have, which was a shame; if the author could have continued the story and added more adventures with more subtleties and complexity, then it would have been better.
I really liked the story and characters but it was a novella length and its telling seemed a little rushed for some reason. I am looking forward to more in this series and hope there is more characterization and depth to the next stories because these really have great potential.
Pretty good, great world premise, not set up though properly and explained. Too many unanswered questions, however it only book 1. Although published in 2009, one wonders of their are any future plans for this series as no further works have been commented on by the author
