Firefighter Alexandra Crawford's world is about to ignite in more ways than one. After a particularly bad fire leaves Alex and another member of her team in the hospital, she finds herself entranced by Dr. Rachel Tom. She doesn't plan to fall in love and doesn't need the hassles of a new relationship, but she's not the kind to let something so good slip through her fingers. But the relationship may be over before it begins. Alex soon realizes that the horrible blazes they've been fighting recently are too uniform to be anything but arson. And if she's right, someone is setting fires for the express purpose of killing firefighters.

I have become quite fond of Cannon's books. I really enjoyed this one. The two MCs were great and they weren't smooth talking, perfect people but stammering, shy at times people...they felt real, even corny. I liked the side characters too. The male firefighters were great and I liked Bugs until her words with Rachel...then I didnt like her much afterwards. I did find the arson angle good but a lot of times it felt too much and took away from the interaction developing between the other characters...too one sided when those sections came up. Anyway, good read that I give an easy 3.75* to and on Scribd
I needed a little bit more between the main characters. It all happen so suddenly and a link between them is missing in my opinion. Now the plot itself and the firefighters as a family is simply delightful
Geonn Cannon is keeping me on the edge of my seat wondering what is going to happen to Alex and her fellow firefighters next. I love the way the love story between Alex and Rachel is building. A great read.
over all i felt this was a good book. i felt the romance lacked romance. but the story behind the romance was great. wrote the bad guy really well. but since i am a romance girl the love between the two characters i felt could have been more in depth
Maybe because I was married to a fireperson found lot of it farfetched and filled with bravado like where the doctor dislocates her thumb but still manages pull up not only her girlfriend but a humungous ladder . Closer you got to end of book more bravado it got but it was a good story over all.
