The Matlab coverage is excellent and allows coverage of a lot of topics that are glossed over or simplified in the traditional coverage (e.g., the forced harmonic oscillator). This comes at the expense of skimping on some core topics such as Lagrangian dynamics. Nevertheless, an excellent text, even on a stand-alone basis.
