I am a 17 years breast cancer survivor, as of Feb. 2022. This is one of the best books I have ever read about the cancer journey. I found myself and my experiences in many parts of the book. Thank you Lynn Eib for a well written and meaningful book.

A friend gave me this book to read as our family deals with cancer for the second time. What a blessing! The stories are very inspiring even when the outcome is not the hoped for success. But the last couple of chapters get to the real heart of the book. As a cancer survivor herself, the author dives into what hope really means and the value of positive thoughts. This little book needs to be shared with everyone touched by cancer.

A good friend of mine gave me this book when I was newly diagnosed. I didn't read it until I was halfway done with chemo. The author is such a spiritual woman of God that she knows how to write each story with a kind heart, especially after being a survivor herself. After reading this book, It confirmed all along about my journey. God had me in the palm of his hands and there was a bigger purpose for me. It confirmed for me that God is a loving God and we need to trust in him. This book is spiritually encouraging. It allowed me to know about other people going through this journey, and those who didn't make it were able to accept Jesus Christ into their lives. At first It was uncomfortable to read about cancer patients who don't make it, but soon I realized Wow! What a beautiful gift to accept him as our lord and savior! Highly recommend and I have passed this book to friends who are going through this journey as well, so they can feel God's presence and know that they are not alone!

A great book to comfort those that are going through or know someone going through trials of cancer. Each chapter is a different personal story of someone's courageous battle with this terrible disease. It is realistic in that some die from their cancer, and some survive it. However, there is a common theme throughout: no matter what our diagnosis is if we accept Jesus as our savior we have already beat the cancer!

With God we may not experience physical healing, but spiritual healing is freely given when we repent and accept Jesus as our Lord and savior. Even the sad stories when the individual dies the author points out how they go with hope, honor, and dignity living a much more fulfilling life for God than a whole life without.

In my personal experience I found a lot of encouragement through the stories of this book and highly recommend it to anyone that is dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

I found this book when I truly needed it. I am going through cancer treatments for Multiple Myeloma and needed something to get me through. Each story is inspiring and has a happy ending, but not all of them in a traditional way. I would definitely recommend this book to anybody going through cancer or who has family going through it.

I read this book sometime in 2015 as I was undergoing treatment for cancer. Not all stories ended with the patient surviving, but did indeed show the reality of cancer and how God meets us at the point of our need. Highly recommend.

It is an amazing book. I read it while recovering from a mastectomy. It changed my view of cancer and peace my fears. I highly recommend it to anyone going through cancer.

This is well-written and the stories are encouraging. However, the back cover recommends it to those newly diagnosed, and having personally walked through cancer this year, I know I could not have read this right after diagnosis. Even though each chapter is a wonderful story of God working in the life of someone with cancer, many of them are cases where cancer takes a life. Right after diagnosis the last thing I wanted to hear about was people who died from cancer. Even reading it 5 months after diagnosis took a toll on me emotionally.

This is a balanced realistic book. The stories are great illustrations for each of the points the author wants to make. Great lessons in how cancer can provide ways to get closer to God. The author's own story was interesting and relevant but was used too often for illustrative purposes and became repetitive. The book wasn't long and was an easy read but could have been sharpened and more focussed with a ruthless edit.

This book has stories about numerous people's struggle with Cancer. The person telling the stories is herself a cancer survivor and now works for an Oncologist as a counselor. This book is a faith-based book. I found it helpful after a cancer diagnosis for someone close to me. I have also recommended it to people who are recently diagnosed with cancer, and all have liked it.

This book recounts a number of stories of people struggling with cancer. I read it while my mother was fighting lung cancer, and found it to be somewhat comforting, although it can be hard to read stories of survivors (though there are some stories about cancer victims) when your own loved one is in end stages of this terrible disease.

This book was a great read during a hard time for me. There is not many books written specifically on cancer but this one helps to articulate so many hard emotions. My brother passed away from melanoma cancer and this read was very helpful. I'd recommend for anyone with cancer or someone who has a loved one with cancer

My brother gave me this book when I got cancer and it was an encouragement. He is a pastor and keeps copies on hand to give to members of his congregation when they have to deal with cancer.
