Robert and Sam are preparing for Christmas, each in his own way, both looking forward to Christmas morning. All Robert has to do to get there is survive Sam, Sam's impromptu Christmas party for the students in his class, and the fact that the gift carefully ordered for Sam still hasn't shown up. Sam is full of irrepressible Christmas cheer and an insatiable appetite for his favorite fireman, thrilled to be celebrating Christmas with his husband. However, Robert still finds ways to surprise and excite Sam, reminding him that he has the best gift anyone could get, every single day
Drew Zachary is the pen-name of co-authors Chris Owen and Vic Winter.
"Born in the wilds of Canada, Drew grew up with an axe in one hand and a book in the other. Drew's love of writing is outshone only by his love of men. Lucky for him, he can combine the two.
From his father, Drew learned how to wield that axe, fix a carburetor and bake a mean can of beans using fire, gas or electricity. From his mother, he learned how to rotate the tires, turn apples into just about anything from cider to pie to a meatless lasagna, and how to swim. At twelve Drew ran away to join the circus, only to run away from it when he realized just how badly elephant poop stinks.
When Drew ran out of books to read he started writing his own and never looked back. His home is filled with books, unfinished manuscripts and his grandmother's knick knacks. His best friend is a dog named Barney and his pet fish keep him entertained for hours.
Drew writes about love because he still believes in it. Even though he's never found that special man himself, he's never given up hope. Well, never on a permanent basis, anyway."
If you originally always liked Robert and Sam, then this little holiday snippet is just the thing to bring back a little nostalgia from when we first met them in On Fire. *wink*
It’s Christmastime and Robert isn’t exactly having a jolly holiday. Walking into work, Robert finds that his husband, Sam, has wreaked streamer and balloon-filled madness upon Robert’s fire station so that he can have a Christmas party for his students. If that’s not bad enough, it’s getting closer to Christmas and Sam’s present still hasn’t shown up. Robert soon finds it’s hard to be a Grinch with Sam so sweetly distracting him, and that the best thing about Christmas is getting to celebrate it with the one you love.
Drew Zachary has definitely turned up the heat with a holiday story that will both fire the blood and melt the heart all year long. An On Fire Christmas is a deliciously erotic, utterly romantic story that is sure to leave you with a smile on your face. Sam and Robert fans will delight in seeing their favorite couple from On Fire and On Fire II: Still Burning. Not having read the two previous stories, I found An On Fire Christmas to be a delightful introduction to these endearing heroes. Sam is pure fun. He’s brazen, shameless, and practically jumps off the page from the sheer energy he exudes. It’s impossible not to adore him, for his Christmas cheer is infectious. Robert is the more staid, serious one of the pair, but he is by no means less appealing. He’s the perfect match for his enthusiastic husband and his strength is sexy in its own right.
I absolutely adored An On Fire Christmas, and upon finishing it, went right online and ordered On Fire and On Fire II: Still Burning. I dare anyone not to fall in love with Robert and Sam, for they completely captured my heart with this sweet, sensual glimpse into their lives.
I finally caught up on this one - If you haven't read ON FIRE and ON FIRE 2 don't even try to make sense of my thoughts here...
Sam and Robert are spending Christmas with Sam's dad and things are going better than Sam would have imagine in terms of 'The in-Laws' liking the spouse...
Robert and Sam's dad gets on like a house on fire and Sam is as usual horny and not liking the time Robert is not spending with him getting his jollies off... and of course what Sam wants Sam gets and he has no regret about how he goes about getting it...
Zachary revisits the ON FIRE gang and gives us Sam at his usual best, attitude and horny with it. Robert is just being Robert and I love him.
With a decent smut scene and a rather comical moment this short read is a sweet filler and makes a nice follow up for fans of this series...
Freakin hilarious!!! Sam doesn't change and spending Christmas with his dad means Tom hears more than he's comfortable with!! Robert handles our Sam amazingly well and God, I remember trying to be quiet in your parent's place when having sex!
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant - a lovely fun, little read!
Christmas is rapidly approaching for Robert and Sam, everybody's favorite fireman and his lovable husband. And the men have lots to deal with starting with a quickie in the firehouse to cheer Robert up when he learns he is hosting a holiday party for the school children at the firehouse. Sam is sneaky and knows just how to handle Robert, in more ways than one. As Christmas rapidly approaches and the one gift that Robert ordered for Sam still hasn't arrived, Robert's level of tension is just about through the roof. He wants to make sure the Christmas is special, to show his husband how much he loves him.
I am most definitely a fan of the On Fire books and was pleasantly surprised to see this story available for purchase this morning! I love when I get a chance to revisit some of my favorite characters and it is even more fun when it is totally unexpected. Robert and Sam are fabulous characters and the love they share is apparent through every page. They have been together a while, and know each other inside and out, to the point that Sam knows after hearing a single word that Robert is running short on patience and Robert knows the perfect gift to get Sam. As always the guys can't keep their hands off each other, and we are totally the ones that benefit. It is sexy and fun and I had a smile on my face through the whole story. If you haven't read the On Fire books this is a good introduction and after reading this you will definitely want to read more about how these men met, fell in love and got married.
