Heat in real life is the bane of Vic’s life, whose favorite season is winter, and Vic’s life is far more mundane than fiction. And when it comes to fiction, the hotter the better is Vic’s motto. Make it romantic, make it sexy, make it erotic, but definitely make it hot.

This was a cute and short story, but rather shallow. I liked how down-to-earth the characters both were, they were just normal, everyday guys, but most of the characters' background was told to us by Jeremy rather than shown. It’s understandable considering the length but not very conducive towards getting readers to connect or care for the characters.

3.5 stars. Good short m/m romance about a professor participating in a bachelor auction fundraiser who's surprised both by the amount he brings in and by who bought him.

I normally like Vic Winter, but this was dull and pointless. I didn't find the men attractive or interesting, either.

Cute short story. I love it when writers have characters who are surprised by the person they didn't think they could have.
