John Calvin Maxwell is an American author, speaker, and pastor who has written many books, primarily focusing on leadership. Titles include The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership and The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader. Some of his books have been on the New York Times Best Seller List.

Fiecare zi trebuie să ne oprim și să luăm o pastilă de meditație, ne va face de folos. Cartea de față este una memorabilă, scrisă de Maxwell și combină sfaturi de dezvoltare personală cu morală și concepția creștină, multe citate și trimiteri biblice o pot transforma într-un manual de studiu al Bibliei. Ideile principale sunt enunțate în chenare speciale și titilul fiecărui capitol este pentru o lectură zilnică... dar uneori mergi și mai departe, dar sigur poți avea nevoia să revii la ideile cărții.

One of the best books I've read so far! Very uplifting and encouraging! In such a small book with so many ideas and views you can learn. I highly recommend this book to readers who would love to reevaluate their focus in life. John Maxwell is one of the authors I look up to. This book will surely help you change the way you view life as a Christian.

This book gives great advise to future aspiring leaders and people who have lost track of life. I will definitely reread this book.

Personally, I love the topics in the book. The author's choice of issues in life is very commendable. I also like the way he addresses the issues and tries to answer it give some advice. His shared wisdom is very admirable. I want to read the book again to better digest the wisdom in it. I also want to recommend it to people facing some uncertainty and difficulty in their own life.

A nice collection of short meditations and encouragement on how to move forward in life and stay positive. Nothing overly revelatory or deep. A nice read when you need some quick motivation, and you could read a chapter a day to direct your mindset. I'd consider this more an introductory guide on positive living. You'd have to go elsewhere for deep reflection on any of the topics.

Una lectura inusual, tratándose de John Maxwell, aunque tiene su sello. He disfrutado leer lo que seria lo mas cercano a un devocionario escrito por este genio del liderazgo. El enfoque es bastante cristiano, de hecho, parece estar destinado a lideres eclesiásticos, pero en verdad cualquier persona puede aprender de este libro.

No se trata de un libro pesado con doctrinas fundamentales, parece mas bien una charla matutina con un amigo. El tono amigable y positivo del autor seguramente es lo que le ha hecho uno de los predilectos no solo de los cristianos, sino de todo aquel sediento de auto ayuda. Aun así, aclaro, la Biblia tambien ha sazonado esta desafiante obra de 160 paginas.

Como ya me tiene acostumbrado, Maxwell, incluye dichos y citas de otros autores llenas de gran sabiduría (Al leerlo supe que tambien el es un coleccionista de citas). Seguramente es un libro que merece ser hojeado o releído de tanto en tanto.

Think On These Things (Meditation for Leaders) is a self-help book which tackles about a variety of topics such as success, victory, failures and disappointments. What I love about this book is that it's not hard to comprehend. The illustrations from the author was inspiring in a way that you'll be able to learn from what they experienced.

It's my first time to read a book from John Maxwell and now I know why he became an icon in writing inspirational and self-help books.

old but good!

Decided to go back and read the Maxwell books from the beginning and this was his very first. Some of it is a little old but the most important things are relevant no matter when. Quick and easy read and nice for a chapter or two a day. Definitely highlighted and saved a few of my favorite quotes and will be referencing on the tough days of being a leader.

I would particularly recommend this for young leaders (young in leadership, not necessarily age) aspiring to grow into better leaders simply because the read is very easy, yet its principles are applicable for all. I enjoyed this quick read very much.
