The first thing that stuck out about this book was trying to find the little duck and mouse on every page! While reading the story I noticed we had to find those two little animals before the story could be read..haha.
The book is good besides what I just mentioned because it's a flap book with a lot of noise. If you're at home or in a school where it's allowed to be noisy get ready to do so!
Basically this book has an easy rhythm to follow and is super repetitive that even if your child isn't up to the stage of reading they'll be able to follow your lead and say the words with you. The artwork is pretty cool and I even found myself looking through the pictures carefully even after the duck/mouse was spotted.
Even though I couldn't understand everything in the story, it was still really fun to read, and to open the flaps and see what was inside. I could tell there was a repeating element, but I'm still not sure what it said. I love that it is written all in Spanish. I could really encourage ELLs if they were able to teach the class their own language.
