On To Adventure...

Nicola had great hopes for her Australian holiday, and even the fact that her friends couldn't meet her plane didn't dampen her spirits. In fact, her adventure started right away when a handsome stranger offered to drive her to Dandaraga station.

She took him for a ranch hand - until she learned that he was Garth Roissiter, a landholder, and the biggest enemy her friends had. He was the man who wanted to buy Dandaraga!

But to Nicola, only one thing mattered. He might be after more land - but did she dare to hope that he wanted her as well?

It was alright…love-angst-filled but it turned a bit tiring at the end. Both hero and heroine keeps saying and doing the same wrong mistakes over and over. Too many times I found the heroine stupid and annoying. She has the nerve to keep parroting that the next time he dare kiss her she won’t respond. Which he strongly proved otherwise. Every single time he takes her in his arms, she only melt like butter. Like girl, you can stfu now! You ain’t cute with that lying mouth, ya know. And for some reason the hero feels like he need to constantly remind her, in case we the reader forgets, that she’s a passionate woman. It all but took him one look and a kiss to identify what kind of “Sheila” she is. One full of a hunger only he can filled up. Silently, this sheila high-key agrees with him! At this point, I feel like the author is forcing it. I kind of tuned out…not the worst but the author could fix some! Btw, Sheila is a term for a beautiful, sexy, attractive woman as he would always tell her.

Typical early eighties romance novel. Definitely written before the PC culture invaded, which is kind of refreshing every now and then.
