Real seller with inventory on hand. Oversize Hardback. Institute of Turkish Studies, 1985. Very Good / Very Good. Book is in excellent condition, but with three of four page end corners bumped, upper back cover pretty heavily, otherwise save a very small coffee stain at front end paper, book is Fine. Binding is solid and square, exterior shows no other blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. Dust jacket shows the slight signs of shelf wear with small tear at top spine. Includes 257 illustrations Including floorplans, elevations, interiors, exteriors, photos, architectural drawings, architectural details, etc. Monograph on Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan (1488-1588) documenting over 300 mosques and structures built for Ottoman sultans, analyzing major works including Selimiye Mosque in Edirne and Süleymaniye Mosque in Istanbul, with photographs by Ara Güler and Mustafa Niksarli, covering mosque design, central dome structures, caravanserais, medreses, and hamams.
