Recently she temporarily quit writing manga after a scandal involving her plagiarism of many magazine photographs.
According to The Yaoi Review (2009-12-31), she is back with a continuation of an ongoing manga to be released in English in February.

Oh, finalmente torna ad uscire questa serie stupenda e raggiunge una delle parti più belle di tutta la storia, ossia la produzione del film Cicala d'inverno che metterà a dura prova sia Iwaki che Katou. Iwaki è scelto per interpretare il protagonista, e Katou vuole essere il suo comprimario, ma alcuni problemi con la sua agenzia rendono la cosa molto più difficile e il ragazzo dovrà affidarsi al suo talento come attore per ottenere il ruolo... Ma ce la farà davvero? C'è anche un divertente episodio sul fratello di Iwaki e uno più serio che analizza il rapporto tra Nagisa e Yukihito e arricchiscono questo volume molto bello e che mostra davvero quanto Iwaki e Katou si amino e si supportino incondizionatamente. Non vedo l'ora di entrare nel più bello con il prossimo volume <3

Tornen de la lluna de mel i descobreixen que han entrat a casa seva a robar. L'Iwaki es paranoia i fuma com un carreter, però el Katou té un momentàs i deixa anar perles que calmarien a qualsevol ♥ Segon capítol, el germà de l'Iwaki els fa una visita sorpresa, però només hi ha el Katou a casa i tenen una conversa molt cuqui. Nou drama entre el Sawa i el Yukihito: el jove enxampa el Sawa en una sessió de BDSM i fuig corrents a casa del Katou i de l'Iwaki. Interessantíssim el debat a continuació sobre la moralitat de la seva relació, tant perquè són família com perquè tenen una relació homosexual com per l'expressió de gènere del Sawa (es refereix a si mateix com a okama i s'alternen els pronoms femenins i masculins en la traducció anglesa). Els consells que ofereix l'Iwaki són molt madurs, tot i que segueixo amb el cor dividit perquè segur que el Yukihito és menor d'edat (uniforme escolar, ai). Després hi ha tot l'arc del càsting, ben emocionant, en què veiem un creixement dels personatges sorprenent i la reaparició de l'Asano (exajudant xungo de l'Iwaki). Volum ben completet de drama, com ja és tradició, però amb personatges espectaculars ♥

Después de leer este tomo me estoy muriendo de amor. Es que Nitta sensei se supera con cada tomo haciendo evolucionar tanto a los personajes como a su relación, construyendola de forma realista en consonancia tanto con el carácter de Iwaki y Katô como con su trabajo como actores.
Además de que es una historia que no deja de madurar a cada tomo. Y, como no, el tándem Katô e Iwaki es simplemente perfecto. Son mi segunda pareja favorita del manga bl (y creo que del manga en general), porque una relación donde la autora nos va mostrando el cómo se va generando confianza y respeto mutuo por tu pareja no abunda (creo que solamente se ve algo parecido en Blue Morning. Akihito y Katsuragi son otra pareja increíble).

I really don't know why the artstyle is so wacky in the first few chapters but if you just get through the first 5-6 then it really changes for the better! Embracing love, especially if we take into consideration that it was written and illustrated back in 1999-2009, is a very well-written story, not perfect but very enjoyable! The main characters (Iwaki and Katou) really draw you in with their personalities and you just can't put the story down. Of course, you'll have to keep in mind that this is a yaoi so many explicit scenes are included.

Upon returning home from their vacation aboard, they found their home was broken in. Although the culprit has been apprehended by the security team and nothing was missing, Iwaki was unsettled and having difficulty adjusting to the violation of their safe haven. Katou on the other hand remains unaffected.... or is he?
Another chapter in this volume, Sawa san and his cousin aka young lover was in a misunderstanding that forced Sawa to reevaluation his approach to their incestuous taboo plagued relationship. It's not looking good when Sawa is years older than his still schooling age cousin. Sawa is fretting over losing his lover as he is now approaching self-dependency age and would not longer need him for support and would later just view him as a pathetic uncle. Sawa is also having a tough time adjusting and forcing himself to play the dominating role in the bedroom when he is an all out bottom and craves to be topped by his lover. Psstt... he is also quite a masochist too, to the extend of paying for SM sessions.
Finally Winter Cicada - Fuyu no Semi (冬の蝉), casting has started and Iwaki was lucky enough to grab one of the lead role. He is of course going to be Akizuki Keiichirou. While, Katou has to fight tooth and nail for the second leading role of this epic historical movie due to some of his own slip-ups which had nearly ended his acting career. His challenge for role of Kusaka Touma had also put Iwaki at a very difficult position as a professional actor and as a lover.
This movie holds a special place in the hearts of these two MCs although they themselves are quite clueless as to the reason of what makes them yearns so dearly to play the leading roles. That was because the two main characters in Winter Cicada are none other than their past selves. Akizuki and Kusaka met in 1862, second year of the Bunkyuu Era, during the Expulsion of Foreigners movement started by the Choushu clan of which Kusaka is a minor member. Akizuki was a Bakufu (Shogunate) samurai and son of a Town Magistrate. Both are on the opposite sides of the political parties. Winter Cicada is the Romeo and Juliet of the East that ends with bloodshed and tears. A tragedious tale of the pure love of two young men born into the wrong era, wrong place hence they have to choose the sleep of a Winter Cicada to await for a new beginning with a brighter future and more forgiving time.
I am touched that they met again in this life as Iwaki and Katou and that for once, their love was not shun but embraced by the public - all due to the right timing and some other contributing factors. We have to thank Sawa san for that part tho. ;) There's a part where Katou has to snip his locks short and I am sadden by that for I love his longish wavy hair.
There's a scene where Katou actually got jealous of himself just cause a sexually excited Iwaki commented that doing it with the him now feels like doing it with a stranger. I love that scene very much. Lol.

I must say that Haru Wo Daiteita is not your usual yaoi manga. It has depth and was actually very meaningful and touching as well. I've learned much valuable lessons from it, especially on maintaining a healthy relationship and also the way of life.
This manga series really have the winning combo... the beautiful artwork, amazing plot with a meaningful and thought-provoking story. No wonder it was much loved by all those who ever has the good fortune to come across it.

Repeated review.
Okay, back in the day, I loved this series. Why? Because gay. That’s literally the only reason I loved it, alongside a lot of other yaoi manga. But then, I got older, smarter, and learned some fucked up shit about life, and then, I returned to most of the yaoi manga I once read. And absolutely hated a lot of them.
All of them, that I ended up hating later in life, involved incest, toxic relationships, rape, borderline rape, slavery, underage, and cringe. You decide which of those fits best with this series.
