Didn't quite understand the premise of this book. I came for a heist story and I was disappointed. I was afraid of being disappointed because of the drawings, but in the end it was the story that disappointed me. I was expecting nothing...well I was still disappointed T_T
I kind of enjoyed the story, even though a bit confusing.
The poems that are used throughout the manga to introduce the new chapters are incredibly beautiful, adding so many layers to the characters' actions and words and lots of general catarsis.
It's also a quick read. Can't wait to see what Vol 2 has in store.
Overall, I liked many aspects of this manga, such as the poems that shape the course of the story. But I was disappointed with the pace and the anti-climatic ending. I will read the next tome, since this one felt like an introduction, a surface of what it can be. Interesting commentary on the student revolutions and communist movemeng in Japan, though!
