Wow! There is a lot of things in this book to think about, and process. There were many lessons demonstrated that I needed to hear in this season. I started the book with a different mindset than when I finished. The authority and experience shows through in his writing, and it shows that he is a builder of people. This is not a feel-good, fluff book designed to be a best-seller. It is a pouring out of his years of experience and a trusting walk with God that carried him through what would seemingly be an overwhelming season of adversity in carrying out his vision. I was amazed at some of the adversity that he exposed, and appreciated his transparency. By my life experience, most would have abandoned their vision when faced with similar circumstances. He said at the end of the book: "If you don't need God's help, then you probably lack ambition," and "do something so great for God that it's doomed to fail unless God is in it." I appreciate getting to learn from someone of great faith and relationship with God to be obedient when the circumstances seem impossible. Thanks, John Haggai, for being faithful and obedient, and making a difference in the world, and leading the way for others to follow and learn from your example!
