He has a brother named Derek, and many friends that live near him in Crocodile Cove. In this adventure Alex learns how to play chess from Master Panda. Follow the adventure as they go to Master Panda's house, and Alex competes in a Chess Tournament. This is the 4th book in the series, following the success of "Alex and the Lava Pit", Alex Pretends to Celebrate Christmas", and "Alex Learns How to Surf".
