꧁ First graphic novel of the Disney Fairies series ꧂

❁ Contains four stories focussing on Prilla, a fairy with a rare talent that is only mentioned but not explored in this book. Tinkerbell is also present in every story, though not always in the main role.

❁ The story in the GR blurb doesn't match any of the inside stories. Wonder why! 🤔

❁ Has several book-only characters who were not a part of the Tinkerbell movies. Tinkerbell, Terence, and Vidia are the only main movie characters also present in these stories. (I miss the other movie characters!)

❁ The first three stories are decent, none too memorable. Utterly disappointed by the last story as it teaches children something quite stupid.

❁ Simple text, easy to read for the target age group.

❁ Mixed feelings about the graphics. The colours and background nature sketches are great but the characters are a hit-or-miss. Why give Terence such a 'cool stud' kind of look? It doesn't match his personality at all!

❁ Officially for ages 6-10 years. I read this with my younger daughter who was so bored that she has decided to ditch me for the next Tinkerbell graphic novel. (Little Madame forgot that she is the one who made me get this combo volume from the library. 😒)

❁ Story-wise ratings:
🧚‍♀️ Prilla's Talent - ⭐⭐⭐
🧚‍♀️ Like the Wind - ⭐⭐✨
🧚‍♀️ The Sound of Friendship - ⭐⭐⭐
🧚‍♀️ Best of Friends - ✨

Overall average: 2.25 stars.

I can't believe a Tinkerbell book let me down! I loved the movies so much that I was expecting the same high from the books. Hoping that the next book will go better.

This was a library read. Not a must-read; just good for a library borrow.

Each story was cute and a quick read.

This Graphic novel contains the following four stories:
-Prilla's Talent (Prilla discovers her talent.)
-Like the Wind (Prilla and Vida make a bet.)
-The Sound of Friendship (Terence wants/trys to ask Tinker Bell to the BlueBell festival.)
-Best of Friends (Rani is cranky and her friends are determined to find out why and make her feel better.)

Very cute book! It's now my headcanon that fairies hide in yellow roses when it's stormy!

Sparkling stories full of friendship and magic. Der in the Peter Pan universe, Gail Carson Levine told in her novel Fairy Dust the secret Life of the Never Fairies, starring new fairy Prilla.
Disney decided to have magazines in the Disney Fairies franchise and there were short, colorful comic stories, how the story goes on.
Because I started it too late and then Disney decided to replace Levine's Never universe with the awful TinkerBell franchise, I searched for the good, old parts and found the graphic novel collection.
Here are the first four stories, dealing with different talents and especially friendship, with also some crushing. The fairies' world is rich of colors, nature and magic, and a joyful part and treasured memory of my childhood.
Highly recommended!

I thought I would love this, but honestly I didn't, especially the last story. I didn't like Tink's winking in the first couple stories (found it super cringey and pointless) and whoever printed this book, one of the pages were cut off at the top where you can only read half of the text in the bubbles. Not sure if it was just my book or various copies of this book, but that was frustrating and annoying. The art is great though. I love the colors, the Home Tree, and the illustrations of the faeries and Pixie Hollow. Terrance is a cutie, but there's something about him, not sure what, that I didn't like in the last story. Pretty disappointed with this book overall though.

This was so cute!! Love that it’s based on the Disney Fairies chapter books!! Charters, art style… but new stories!

Terrance looks a bit funky tho lol.

It’s really cute how instead of saying sorry, fairies say “I’d fly backward if I could”.

Contains 4 short stories.

Read this in the 4-in-1 edition/omnibus.

Mini-Me picked this out of the library, then never wanted to read it, so I went ahead and read it myself. The first three stories were excellent. The last was an old trope that didn’t do much for me, but would likely appeal to the target audience. Overall, a fun read.

This was a really cute graphic novel for young kids featuring the popular character Tinker Bell. While my favorite was not the headline/first story, because I thought it was kind hard to follow, but the stories got better as they moved forward.

I'm a sucker for anything Disney and I like fairies, but this didn't really hold up to the Disney Fairy movies. It was cute for sure, but something felt lacking.

It was nice to see this graphic novel followed cannon, even though the movies don't, but the writing was rough.

I've always loved Tinkerbell. She is the reason I like fairies...but generally, I get bored with fairy books. I had originally picked it up for my kids but I ended up reading them...My sons aren't really into Tinkerbell, so, why I picked it up, I don't know...Maybe because I like Tink I guess...lol...I will make them sit through Tinkerbell movies with me just to say I had a reason to be sitting there watching Tinkerbell...A grown woman! Don't Judge me! lol

But, anyway, it was a cute book...A few stories in one little book...If you have kids who love Tinkerbell, and maybe even comics, or even just you, this is a perfect little book..Colorful, cute stories...

It took me a couple days to read only because I was also reading other things and would just pick it up if my son had my Kindle and/or I just didn't want to read anything else at the moment...

Will I read another one? I'm not sure...Maybe if I am looking for an easy read, or I'm in between books and maybe waiting on a book I ordered or placed a hold for at the library...:o)

Reason for Reading: Book #2 is a Cybils '10 nominee and as a panelist for Graphic Novels this is required reading for me. So I decided to go back and read #1 as well to get a feel for this series.

I'm not a Disney fan so was not looking forward to reading this book but was pleasantly surprised. A collection of short stories about the fairies in Neverland, each one features a different fairy as the main character but Tinker Bell is in them all and the various fairies mostly turn up in every story as well. The stories are actually quite well-written and engaging. If I was a little girl I would certainly be entertained by these 4 stories which introduce five fairies in particular, though others are featured as well. The only problem is that the books are small, meaning the print is very tiny but otherwise the whole collection is cute and fun.

Prilla's Talent was such a cute graphic novel. Disney Fairies are always a big hit in our house. We watch Tinkerbell and the fairy's all the time when they are on Disney and now with this amazing graphic novel they can take the fairies with them and read in the car or where ever they are. My middle daughter just loved this book and she read it several times to her baby sister.

This book isn't only written well but it is beautify illustrated. The beautiful and colorful pictures backed up with the well written story sure makes this book a hit. This book is #1 in the series and I can't wait to get all the others for my girls to add to their Disney Fairy collections.

This was a fairly cute graphic novel geared towards pre-teens. I suppose that it would serve as a good introduction to graphic novels for that age-group or would be a fun read for fans of Disney princesses and fairies. The storylines are fairly cute while pretty simplistic, but the individual stories seem to jump around quite a bit with no real transitions or character building. I did think that the art work was all rather well done.

All in all, not a bad book for preteens but I would have liked to have seen a better effort made at character development and having a more cohesive storyline.

Combining the beautiful artwork from the creators of our childhood favorites with magical stories sure to delight readers of any age, this is one graphic novel to take a chance on indeed. Join Tinkerbell, Prilla and all their friends as they test the bonds of friendship, help each other discover their inner fairy, go head to head in a little fairy competition and even discover the first blush of love...all in Disney-esque fun. So clap your hands and join the other "believers" as you take pause to welcome this new addition to the timeless family. Happy reading!

Who doesn't love fairies?! If you don't believe and say it out loud, a fairy dies. So please don't do that! I also know that every time a baby laughs the first time, a fairy is born. So please, laugh with your kids as much as you can.
This was such a great story, and a great book for kids. We know Disney and its affiliates to be a great resource for our children, this book does not disappoint. I think it's a great line of stories!!!
Plus the illustrations in the book are typical Disney fashion, and ignite the imagination.
Definitely a recommendation for the little ones from me.

Most graphic novels are filled with aggression - even the ones for kiddos. Hence, there are not enough good graphic novels for young girls. But this one is a true gem. My four and a half year old daughter and I really enjoyed spending time together and read it. Prilla's Talent is filled with familiar characters and good themes like working together. Plus it has wonderful artwork (which is a must for a graphic novel). Look no further if you are looking for a graphic novel for a young child especially a girl.

This is the first in a series of graphic novels featuring 4 tales about the Disney fairies, started in book by Gail Carson Levine.

If you have not seen my other reviews on Disney fairies books, then let me just simply put it: I love them. I pretty much enjoyed all the stories I have read on them, and the movies. The tales in this book are short and sweet. The art is wonderful. These are a great addition to the fairy franchise.

Okay, laugh if you want, but I've been sick and was searching my house for the fluffiest possible thing to read. Given that I'd received this book from No Flying No Tights, it was really no contest. My NFNT review is up here.
