About the author

Oliver Leaman is a Professor of Philosophy and Zantker Professor of Judaic Studies. He has been teaching at the University of Kentucky since August 2000, and is particularly interested in Islamic, Jewish and Eastern philosophy. He has got his Ph.D. from Cambridge University in 1979.

The best word to describe this book is rambling. No clear point or message. Hard to take away anything concrete from it-- maybe this is what I should expect from niche scholarly works. I am a layman after all, particularly on this topic. I suppose I'll chalk it up to that.
