A great read for anyone like me who has entered this vast field of study through one path and is getting a handle on what sort of scholarship is and isn’t over-reaching. It’s an amazing resource for further reading (or books to remove from further reading).
Obviously 24 years have passed between the edition I read and now, but the issue seems everlasting and still helpful when you have a breadth of scholarship going back so far and prevailing theories that have shifted so much
There was more to talk about here, and I think it was worth showing more evidence of intentional interdisciplinary work in action (rather than just showing how one is insufficient without the other)
