The Near Systems are on fire. People are dead, and the Coalition is denying the blame. Rebel factions are waxing and waning as the crew battles against fuel shortages, rivals, blockades, and dangerous enemies.
In Era's End, we return to all the previous characters as the series comes to its explosive climax. Join Captain Violet, Alice, Larkin, Evie, Georgie, Henry, Mae, Bailey, Rosie, Delia, Cass, and Olivia as their stories continue.
I loved this series so much, I'm so sad that it's finished. I tried to read this finale as slowly as I could to savour my last journey with the Cricket, but all good things must come to an end. A fantastic ending for all my favourites, and a wonderful future ahead. Loved it! I highly recommend this entire series. 👌👌 (I will also be checking out other works by this author ASAP.)
Awww I felt pretty emotional by the end of this one. I have really enjoyed this series and it took me a while to get through this last novel, not just because its longer but because I felt the disparate storylines took a while to come together in the first half of the book. Switching characters between chapters felt a bit jumpy, but the strands all came together in a way that was purposeful by the middle and I raced through the last third in three days.
I'll be sad to leave the Cricket, her crew and comrades but this was a fitting end. We've all grown a lot since Deus Ex Mechanic and I'm excited to read whatever this author writes next, safe to say she's got a fan for life here!
Outstanding. I loved this series from start to finish! I loved how the chapters were about each character except when something traumatic happened, and then the next chapter was about someone else! Made me read it even faster. Larkin is my favorite, but all the characters were so beautifully written. I laughed, I cried, I got angry for them. It was definitely a nail-biting finale. I didn't want it to end. I also liked the use of fruits and vegetables in place of curse words. With that being said make sure you read this series, ya persimmon! You don't know what you are missing.
All the books were good. I found it very hard to put the down once I started reading them. They were intense, sad and funny. You have to have a good imagination when reading the stories so you can see everything as described. I really enjoyed all of them. Thank you K.Balandran
