“The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

Trevor Marks is Elite Team’s secret weapon, a top-of-the-line operator committed to bringing peace to a planet teetering on the brink of catastrophe. He’s a veteran of ferocious battles fought on the ground and dangerous, intricate wars waged in the cyberworld. He lives for the hunt.

Trev and his team have been hunting a powerful and mysterious enemy hell-bent on destroying the world. Time’s short, the stakes are too high and the odds are too low. Tomorrow is not guaranteed—for Trev, for Elite Team, for all humans walking the planet . The only way to save his friends and defeat his evil foe is to infiltrate his enemy’s lair.

Sometimes the only way to defeat an enemy is to join him—or in this case, her.

Mina Moses’s life has been anything but easy. Orphaned and alone, her gifted brain, her superb coding skills, and her pluckiness are the only reasons she’s survived the dark underworld that has tried to destroy her one too many times.
Mina is a hell of a hacker. So what if she skirts the law and games the system to achieve her goals? Her motivations are her secret. She hasn’t survived this long by being soft or believing in stupid slogans. She’s not heroine material, but when a vicious assassin catches up with her, she has to flee the digital realm she commands and fight for her life… in the real world.

For Mina, this is a terrifying proposition. Her only hope is to join forces with an old foe, the only other hacker who’s ever beat her at her own game. It doesn’t help that he’s as hot as he is brilliant, or that the visceral attraction between them threatens to obliterate her defenses and unravel her secrets.

She cannot, will not fall in love with her enemy.

The only way to stay alive in a world gone mad is to fight alongside your enemy and hope that both you and your heart survive.

An incredible read

I will warn you - right now. Do not begin this book without the ability to commit to this story. Seriously, you will need chunks of time with these pages.

This author's linguistic prowess is one few possess. Every chapter is a swirl of intriguing details and engaging emotions.

Trev-- aka: Druid --has been an ever present force of nature working with the BB organization, a hacker with no equal, loyal and committed to the success of every member on his team. (No equal, except Specter.)
He is underestimated by almost everyone else, because of what they see. But as we all know from the prior reads in this series, Trev is more than capable - he's lethal.

Mina has been on the run, on her own, for so long. Her hacking skills have frustrated Druid numerous times, but being Specter isn't easy or safe. When we meet her, a ruthless Russian Oligarch is on a mission to catch Specter, with bonus points for snagging Druid too.

The underlying storyline of the past 9 books has been driving towards the impending danger for these characters. Trev being Trev, he's planned contingencies for his contingencies, but he absolutely did not prepare himself for Mina.

As a solid fan of this author and these characters already, my pulse pounded with every page turned. It was easy to connect with these two, and the danger they were facing, not to mention their chemistry! It was hard to keep my emotions in check.

Oh, and at the culmination of this mission?!
I was screaming, "Noooooooooo!" (Tears in my eyes and everything!!) So very distraught!! I may have had some choice words for this author... hahaha. I just couldn't believe she would actually do it. But, she did! (when you know, you'll know.)

I highly recommend this author, and this series.
It is compelling, addictive, entertaining, and easy to read. I enjoyed the adrenaline rush when the dangers danced around them, and the steamy scenes between these two characters were intense and heartfelt. So, so good. 😉

If I could give one thousand stars to this review, I would.
I encourage everyone to read this series (in order of course). It is exceptional craftsmanship.
I am already missing these characters, (will be binge re-reading), anxiously awaiting the next addition to the series. ❤

I have one word for this tenth Alpha Heroes novel by Anna del Mar: WOW!!! I was hoping for a suspenseful, romantic, wounded warrior novel, and did she ever write one. Wheelchair-bound and BB hacker extraordinaire, Trev (aka Druid) finally meets his match in the elusive, brilliant, and Most Wanted criminal hacker, Specter, and when these two characters get together they set off more fireworks than the Macy's 4th of July fireworks extravaganza, but talk about a rocky start! Get comfortable, because this is not a quick read, but it's one that you won't be able to put down--I know I couldn't, and I'd give it way more than 5 stars if I could.

We've met Trev in other novels in this amazing series (if you're not already devouring this series, you should definitely start now), although his hacking skills have mostly kept him away from the direct action, but I'm so glad that he finally gets his own novel, and boy, does he ever get into the action in this one. Ms. del Mar has given us one heck of a capable, brave, brilliant, noble and sexy hero in Trev, and one brilliant, self-taught computer coder/hacker, beautiful, snarky, angst- and anxiety-ridden heroine in Specter, who is on the run from a Putin oligarch wannabe, Laskin, and the Bruckner Group, another player in this triad of evil-doers, all of whom want to use her amazing skills to take down not only Vladimir Putin, but also Trev, the Battleson Brothers, the U.S government, FBI, CIA, and every other opposing force for peace and good in the world.

One of the many things I love about this series, and especially this novel, is that Ms. del Mar is not afraid to make her political leanings known. The backdrop of this novel, although set in Alaska, is the current war being waged by Vladami Putin and his attempt to overthrow Ukraine and bring that nation back under his control. The evildoers in this novel also want to overthrow Putin, and snatch control from him. Kudos, Ms. del Mar, for continuing to make current world affairs an integral part of this series.

Specter/Mina is truly a surprise in Ms. del Mar's cast of characters, many of whom we've come to know as this series progresses. While hacking her way into even highly classified systems, she's not stolen millions for her personal gain, instead she's a female Robin Hood, and her backstory, self-doubt, poor self-image, and many idiosyncracies have made her a loner with a somewhat shady past. The fact that she's rescued by Trev, foiling an attempt to catch her, is the beginning of what turns out to be a hard-won, hard-fought, but beautifully written love story, one whose denouement tore my heart out, had me sobbing, and one which made me want to contact Ms. del Mar at 3:00 a.m. and leave her one heck of a nasty Facebook post. Be prepared for an ending neither I nor you will not soon forget.

All in all, this a brilliantly written, beautifully paced, highly emotional novel of romatic suspense, with just one final hint as who the subject of the next Alpha Heroes novel will feature. I cannot wait to read it nor can I recommend this novel and this entire series highly enough.

Thank you, Ms. del Mar, for a review copy of this fabulous novel. The opinions stated are my own.

The story of Trev was my favorite. I met the character from book 1 and I became curious and exited about the book to come that showed the extent of Trev's love and loyalty for the team.

Trevor Marks may be a man in a wheelchair but don't underestimate him. He's a formidable. Now he's a man on a mission...saving Mina Moses AKA Specter from certain death. Not only that, he needs her help to take down the enemy gunning for his team. Mina matches if not even exceeds his skillset. What he doesn't count on is her anxiety and lack of real social skills but then he's captivated enough that he doesn't care. With Trev, Mina's inner voices are quieted. What starts out as a monetary proposition quickly morphs into white hot sizzle. She doesn't see Trev as a man in a wheelchair. She sees the sexy, talented, gorgeous man that he is. Thinking they're safe in the wilds of Alaska proves to be folly but not before they develop a relationship that will withstand the tests of time, distance and danger. Together with his team, these two pull off the seemingly impossible and finally terminate the threats on not only them and the team but to countless others.

Riveted, especially at the ending. Lovvvve it.

I love the series, each book is packed with suspense, action, passion, and amazing characters. This story is no exception. It comes with all kinds of trouble. Betrayal, jealousy, rivalry, greed and so much more. Not to mention the steamy sexual encounters. There was never a dull moment in this story. Near the end, I almost stopped reading because I got so angry and sad about what happened to Trev, Mina and Dash. But I'm glad I didn't, because it wasn't what I thought. Now I'm looking forward to Dash's story.

This book has it all! I have been waiting for Trev's book since I started this series. It did not disappoint. So much intrigue and action and feelings it was explosive. Mina is mind-blowing -perfectly crafted and a hoot. I absolutely love the way Trev and her fit together and interact. This group of characters is a family and I kinda want to be adopted by them. Can be read as a stand-alone but do yourself a favour and read the entire series.

I was hesitant to read Trev's book, but I am glad I did. I loved Trev and Mina. They were both likeable characters; mature, logical and adorable. Trev has been a constant in this series from the very first book (Ajax) but we really got to know him in this book - I think he is my favourite; he was just perfect! The action was nail-biting and the romance delightful. I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to lovers of romantic suspense.

Just WOW!!

Another amazing book in this series. Anna del Mar has the ability to fully engage the reader in her books. Trev and Mina faced insurmountable odds in their cyber and physical fight against Laskin, Brukner and Hellbound.
Each book in the series just gets better and Trev is testament to Anna’s skill with words.
Can’t wait for Dash!

petulant child heroine

A 33 year old quirky hacker comes off as immature and slutty. Not someone that the seasoned operator would be attracted to. The mission takes a back seat to the constant sex described in minute detail. Unnecessary .
Disappointed with the author whose earlier works were very good

My Caliente

By far the best book of the series. So good in fact that I'm writing a review. Loved EVERYTHING about this book. The hot sex scenes, the dramatic ending. Whew, I'm looking for a Trev of my own.

We need updates on ALL THE ALPHA MEN AND WOMEN STAT. LOL. Can we get some more babies. I loved this book.

Holy cow! What a great book to finish this series. Trev and Mina were fantastic characters in this book. I was so impressed with the detail put into Trev's disability that helped the reader relate to his situation. It was a superb piece of the book. The plot was well thought out and the twists and turns were well done. This was a great book and I enjoyed my time reading it.
