This book will help you perfect the art of chitchat until it becomes second-nature. For many communication students, this is the final piece of the puzzle needed to turn one into a master conversationalist . At the very least, becoming confident in your ability to engage in small talk will make conversation more enjoyable and increase fulfillment in your social lif e. But the potential rewards are so much more far-reaching, both professionally and personally , that it is well worth the relatively small effort to attain.

In How to Master Small Talk you will …and much more.

Once you digest this material you just might discover yourself able to direct conversations as a maestro conducting a symphony, artfully moving between small talk and weightier topics in a way that puts people at ease and leaves all participants with a s ense of gratification . Small talk can be so awkward and this book gives great tips and advice on how to start conversations. As an introvert, conversing with other people can be anxiety inducing for me. From breaking the ice, understanding body language, and being an intensive listener, this book provides valuable information. The only improvement is the legibility of the exhibits in the ebook.

Meh, picked this up on Kindle Unlimited as a short read. I thought there may be some interesting points in the book, but I didn’t find anything particularly useful - some of the scenarios mentioned were quite unrealistic

What a complete waste of time. All this book did was tell ya how good it would be when you mastered this or that. Nothing practical about it. And honestly, some of the suggestions were completely ridiculous and if you are struggling with making small talk then there is absolutely no way you'd wanna try some of them. You'll come off as a complete looser.

Now my real rating would be a 2 but to be honest I really sped through this book so I don’t think that would be fair to it. It gives some ideas to help you talk to people but to be honest I just don’t think this book is the best to learn from. There are way better books to learn about talking to other people. Not bad but definitely not the best.

Highly formulaic, sometimes helpful and most times repetitive and tautological. Would skim headlines and examples.

Excellent Book

The book offers different conversation scenarios. Looking forward to applying them to my daily conversations with coworkers, family and friends.
