Erin Hunter is inspired by a love of cats and a fascination with the ferocity of the natural world. As well as having a great respect for nature in all its forms, Erin enjoys creating rich mythical explanations for animal behavior, shaped by her interest in astronomy and standing stones.
Amazing. This book is more then just a story! It shows how graystripe and Millie were persistent though even the toughest of times. And it shows how team work can save the day! Plus i just love the story LOL LOVE IT!!
Over all, having read through all three books in this Graystripe adventure; this was a really cute story. Easy to read and quick, it makes for a nice light fun read. I’d say it only takes about an hour since this is a Manga and most of the story is gleamed from the art more than words. This particular manga is read in the American way from left to right instead of the traditional (right to left). It is a cute and thought out story. Though I would have liked to see a more developed ending.
Finished up this trilogy feeling the same way. I am not the intended audience for these books but I can see how they would appeal to others and understand why my daughter likes them.
A happy ending! This graphic novel covers the arduous journey of Graystripe and Millie from the forest to the lake. They meet Ravenpaw and Barley along the way who show them the direction to follow. Seeing Ravenpaw again, and knowing that his last connection to the forest and to ThunderClan was leaving was a bit sad. His storyline has always been a bit gloomy. The journey is tough, though very dissimilar to that of the Clans when they traveled in Dawn. It seems there are more than one way to the lake. Graystripe is extra touchy about following the warrior code in this book, which was a bit annoying because he had no real reason to snap at Millie. Their arrival at the Gathering ultimately was a very lovely moment, and I think that this series of graphic novels really showed how close of friends Graystripe and Firestar are, which is wonderful. The whole scene was really quite nice and well-written. It was a believable plot with enough struggle to make sense.
Premise: Graystripe has finally made it back to the forest. But it's not the forest the former ThunderClan deputy remembers. He's devastated to find his beloved home has been torn apart by Twolegs and fears his Clanmates have all been either captured or killed. But Millie, the former kittypet he's been traveling with – and grown to love – urges him not to give in to despair and insists that his Clan is still alive and well somewhere. Could that be true? And if it is, can Graystripe find the strength to face the challenges and changes still coming his way?
Story/Writing: Yes! Finally! Welcome back, Graystripe! It's so good to see you come home at last! Reading this trilogy has been such a treat! But at the same time, it's also bittersweet, 'cause this is the last graphic novel trilogy in the "Warriors" series that I'll get to read…until another one gets published, that is. That said, this was such a thrilling adventure to read! Homecoming stories always pull at my heartstrings, and this one is no exception. It really reminded me of "Homeward Bound," which was one of my favorite movies when I was little. Ever since I read that part in "Sunset" where Firestar appoints Brambleclaw as the new deputy, I kept wanting to say that Graystripe is still alive and he's coming home! Of course, one thing that really hammers all these emotions home is that this last volume starts with Graystripe and Millie coming back to the forest. Or, rather, what's left of it. I'd always been dreading that part, and it was just gut-wrenching to see Graystripe's reaction! I wanted to give him a hug so bad! I know for sure that I'd feel the same way if I saw my home in that same state. Plus, it wasn't just his home. It was the home of all four Clans (five at one point) for fifty years (according to the timeline in my head). It remained there in peace, undisturbed for years, and now seeing it like this all of a sudden was just heartbreaking! That said, what was most important was that the cats he knew and loved were still alive and had found a new home. And seeing Graystripe finally come back to then after months and months of exhausting traveling just gave me such a euphoric relief that I felt like I wanted to celebrate!
Artwork: The imagery used to convey the complete and utter devastation of the forest was already bad enough, but to see it in color made it feel all the worse. It's now nothing but dust and dirt, and here and there we have flashbacks of the beautifully vibrant and green place it once was. It was just awful. But then again, that was what made their long-awaited arrival at the lake all the better, because it looked just as beautiful as I imagined it, and all the more so because it was inhabited by the four Clans we all know and love! By the way, I kept forgetting to say this in my other reviews for graphic novels in this series. So I might as well say it here since it's my last chance. I like how the dialogue from the humans and other animals has a different font than what's used for the cats, because even if we know what they're saying, it's meant to remind us that they don't understand each other. I thought that was pretty clever.
Graystripe and Millie – I really liked the way the relationship between these two was written. I know some people might take issue with their arguing and bickering, but I actually liked that, because it felt more true to life (in a way). They've had to come a long way and have been traveling for StarClan knows how long. Of course they feel lost and frustrated. And that in turn would lead to a bit of bickering. Now, if they let that slow them down significantly, then I probably would've had more of an issue with it. But fortunately, they're obviously grown-up enough to realize that arguing won't get them any further in their journey. Besides, as much as I love Graystripe and how determined he was to get back home, he could've been just a little less stubborn. Not that I'm saying Millie's always right, but sometimes compromises have to be made. Speaking of whom, Millie is just awesome! Just as Graystripe said, if it weren't for her, he probably would've never made it to the lake. She's saved his life on multiple occasions and convinced him that the Clans were still out there, even if their forest home was gone. So happy they're a thing now! I can't wait to see where else their relationship goes!
Various Other Characters – It was so good to see Ravenpaw and Barley again, however brief it was! Ravenpaw may have turned down Firestar's offer to go with the Clans, but had he taken it up, he wouldn't have been there to point Graystripe and Millie in the right direction. That said, as Ravenpaw put it, Graystripe was the former's last connection to the forest. Now I might not see Ravenpaw again until his novella. And I think I might be spot on about what goes down in that… Anyway, I liked Diesel too. He felt like a surfer dude in the way he looked and talked, not to mention he lives near the sea, so it makes sense. I also thought it was funny that Graystripe started getting jealous when Diesel and Millie spent a bit too much time together for his liking.
Overall: As bittersweet as it is to say goodbye (for now) to these fantastic graphic novels, this was the perfect one to end on! Graystripe is now home and he has a new mate with him! They've gone through so much together, yet it only made them stronger and drew them closer to each other. Even if Graystripe doesn't go back to being deputy, it's so good to finally have him back with ThunderClan!

I don't remember when I exactly read this manga but it was this year so my Date finished is going to be set for today as a result of this.
I was given the set by a friend of mine who no longer wanted them...I won't say no to a free book(s)..I just took forever to actually read them.
All the books in this mini series (of 3) are cute and the stories are good too...Nothing outstanding but for a light nights read it's worth it if you're a fan of the Warriors series or just curious.
Not the greatest, and I definitely would have preferred the story in these three volumes to be told in a novel format rather than graphic novel format. Still, it's nice to get the story of Graystripe after he was captured. I didn't go in expecting much from these and wasn't surprised by them at all.
This was a great end to the series and I loved the storyline and the picture told the story well. It was really nice when Millie and Greystripe finally told each other that they loved them. It was great that they found their way back to Thunderclan and I really loved this trilogy of graphic novels. They were full of danger and action.
after a long journey greystripe and millie have found thunderclan's territory, but where are the clan's?greystripe journeys with millie towards the seting sun.greystripe and millie have a long road ahead will the ever be part of a clan again?
On their travels to find Graystripe's clan Millie gets confused and Graystripe gets hit by a monster while saving her. Millie drags Graystripe, who's alive but hurt, out of the way of harm. Cats from the truck stop come to her aid. While Graystripe recuperates Millie comes up with a plan to get to Graystripe's clan faster but Graystripe won't like it. She wants to ride in one of the fast going monsters. Graystripe thinks she's gone crazy until Diesel says he's seen other cats do that safely. So when Graystripe is better he and Millie leave the truck stop in the back of a monster. Millie loves the ride with the wind in her hair, but Graystripe is skeptical. But Graystripe loves Millie and would do anything for her happiness. He tries to tell her that but he's shy...as they speed down the road he tries to get his courage up to let her know how he feels.
I found Greystripe annoying pretty much throughout the whole book. Clan cats always with the kittypet prejudice which Greystripe kept showing and looking down at Kittypets. Like I get it. He's a clan cat and scared of losing his status and traditions as a Warrior if he lingers too long in twoleg place, but still again the prejudice, I have always found urgh. And it was no different in this book.
Overall, this book was meh. Not exciting at all since we know what happens in the end. And again, I just didn't like Greystripe's attitude here. Too bad the Trilogy ended on a low note, but at least there are the other books to look forward to and I hope they will be better.
My favorite part was when Graystripe finally made it back to his clana agin. My least favorite part was when he got hit by a car and it held up their journey for a while, and I didn't like Graystripes attitude about kittypet stuff. I think that after they got to the sea, they got back to Thunderclan way too fast, because it should have been a little bit harder than that, and not so quick. Also, I like that Ravenpaw came back, even if it was just for a few pages. I wish he would come back to ThunderClan though.

AAAAAAAH THE FEELS!!! I mean, we all know how this ends because we've all read the main series books (or have we? If you haven't, GO READ THE MAIN SERIES BOOKS BECAUSE THIS REVIEW WILL SPOIL YOU FOR ANYTHING BEFORE "THE SIGHT" (Power of Three book #1)!
I literally lost it at the end of this book when I saw Firestar's expression as Graystripe came home. They are literal friendship goals! I was reading this on the subway and got all the feels at the end and everyone stared at me. AAAAH FEELS!!
I'm so glad I decided to check out this Warrior Cat manga stuff. The Graystripe trilogy really gave me a solid appreciation of Millie. Sometimes a really bad thing can turn out to be a really good thing. That's how I feel about Graystripe's time with the Twolegs. I do feel sorry for Millie's former Twoleg because she was good to Millie and didn't deserve the heartache of Millie disappearing like she did. But I am glad that Graystripe has Millie for a mate. After all, WARRIOR CATS RULE!!!!

I feel like Graystripe's personality changes in every single book. He's such a jerk to Millie in this one and freaks out about everything. Pretty sure a clan cat would be able to keep their head in most situations the two go through. I know he feels insecure about his warrior status after being treated like a kitty pet for so long, but I feel like the art style exaggerates everything and makes him seem crazy. This whole miniseries probably could've been better if it was a novella
It's nice that the book had a consistent theme (Graystripe struggling with feelings of deficiency), but there are not as many memorable moments from the story. Sometimes he was a plain bully (although he was saving her life. Which, lets be honest, is kind of a weird thing to happen twice. We all want to be Diesel (jk- and live amongst monsters? No way).

Graystripe is definitely stubborn. In The New Prophecy you really see how traumatized all of the cats are by the destruction of their home, and I think that’s where Graystripe is at in this story. Also, he’s had to make hard decisions about his loyalties in the past, and probably doesn’t want to deal with those conflicting feelings again. Still shouldn’t have treated Millie like that.
Graystrip and Millie and the kittypet finally found the territory of the clan but the clan is missing. They worry they have now got themselves it more trouble then they can handle. They worry this journey to find the clan is impossible.
The final book in the trilogy, and its a great ending to read. Graystripe and Millie's relationship blossoms more, although it comes with arguments. But despite this, they slowly get closer and closer to the Clans. Yet another great read!
