Another step closer to her sister’s murderer! I really need Blake to give us a book focused 100% on May working on solving her sister’s murder, because while I enjoy these books, I’m fully invested in the little endings we get that give us another piece of her working on it and I’m hooked! In this installment, we see May work to figure out who is behind what initially is two murders that happen in the same night but in different locations (although close together). Not only does she have the pressure of finding who’s behind the murders and seemingly escalating, but she also has the pressure of the local mayor who seems to condemn her and the team for not being able to solve it almost immediately. On the flip side of things, May & Kerry finally make a breakthrough in Lauren’s case by finding out who’s camera it was that recorded May & Lauren’s fight the day of her disappearance…and it opens up more questions than answers. I need more of Lauren’s case though – it’s the best part of the book for me and I really want and need that case solved and not drawn out!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
