This is one of the most childish, poorly written YA series I’ve ever read. I have a general rule to finish out a book/series once I’ve started it to give it a chance and oof… this was tough. I get it’s YA but I even looked up Jennifer Armentrout to see if she was in fact a 14 year old girl because that’s how the book was written. The dialogue was so cringey at points I had to put the book down and take a deep breath before returning to it. Some of the storyline didn’t add up or make sense, there were typos, and if I had to read one more sentence about how amazing Zayne is I was going to lose my mind. I read these books extremely quickly because I was able to skim half of the books because it was just filled with how amazingly “good” he is. It’s frustrating reading books like these because if someone would have spent time writing from an adult’s point of view and added actual content instead of over doing it with the Zayne fangirl this could have been a decent series.

Awesome!

I loved this series! Great well rounded story.. nothing left to make you think we'll what about??? It did leave an opening for a possible 4th or more book.. but overall it was spicy without it being overly too much. Caracters were very thought out. You got to know everyone which I loved. It was just a great very well rounded written story. It will be read many more times :)

Loved this series. The portrayal of a disabled character is both empowering and validating of the limitations and challenges involved. I love that she wasn't magically fixed in the end too. The characters are fun, fleshed out, interesting enough to be engaging and the world building and plot were pretty solid.

Book one: took a bit to get into but once I did it was good. 5 Stars
Book Two: just as slow as the first. May or may not read Book Three eventually but probably done with this series.
Kinda disappointed.... don't believe the hype!

The Harbinger Series Complete Collection contains the following titles Storm and Fury, Rage and Ruin, and Grace and Glory. This is the complete Harbinger series.

Storm and Fury

This is the first book in The Harbinger series and this series is a spin-off of The Dark Elements series so you will get to see some familiar characters as well as meeting some new characters. This series features a familiar character Zayne and a new character Trinity. This was just such a great way to start off a new series. I was just immediately drawn into this world and I just didn’t want this story to stop. I immediately wanted more after turning the last page and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Rage and Ruin

Rage and Ruin is the second book in The Harbinger series and I just loved getting to reenter this amazing world. Holy crap I’m just so stunned by this book. I was just drawn into this world and I am just speechless. This book was just outstanding and oh my gosh that ending. I’m immediately picking up the next book in the series.

Grace and Glory

Grace and Glory is the third and final book in The Harbinger series and I just loved getting to reenter this amazing world. Oh my gosh the conclusion to this series was just epic. I just couldn’t put this story down and I was just captivated by everything that was taking place. The author truly outdid herself with this story. This story just had my emotions all over the place and I am so sad to see this series end. I hope the author will revisit this world and its wonderful characters. I just can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

I loved this series. One thing to keep in mind when reading this book, is that the characters are young! Trinity is 19 and Zayne is in his early 20s. The dialogue can be a little immature and some of the miscommunication and issues they have are very reasonable for a couple so young. I greatly enjoyed this series, I had to read it all back to back to back because I could not put this down! I am glad I read Dark Elements first and I am still team Roth all the way but Zayne definitely knew how to make a girl swoon. Great read and JLA always knows how to create an enjoyable story!

Not bad.

If you like YA, you may like this series. The first book was the strongest. The next two felt a bit more immature. The FMC began to show her age more, and the pop culture references were a bit annoying.

I previously read the other series, involving Layla and Roth. I guess I don't remember it being as bad. This series does bring back Zayne which I was excited about, but it was very repetitive in a teeny bopper first crush kinda way. I did finish the series and I ended up kinda just being disappointed. I did like the plot but not much else.

I loved loved loved the Blood and Ash series and the Flesh and Fire series by this author, so I thought I would try out more of her books. This series was good, but a little bit too much YA for my personal taste. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of spice in this one, so it isn't really aimed at YA, but the characters are (and come off as) a bit young and naive sometimes.
The main story was good though, with lots of interesting world building and politics. The romance is sweet and a little bit slow burn to start with.

It’s hard to finish a series when the main characters are so childish. I wanted to like Trinity and Zayne and understand their love, but it fell flat with the incessant immature banter and lack of personality. The colloquial words Trinity used were so cringy. Zayne just accepted her ickworthy sayings and thoughts and found them funny…. How I have no clue? Trinity also went on long winded inner monologues that repeated the same thing over and over. I ended up skipping large sections just to bypass her inner thoughts because they just made her more unlikable. Zayne’s entire personality was that he loves Trinity. He barely provides anything to the story until the final book and that was the only time he was interesting.

Definitely a more YA series from Armentrout, not as diverse world building as series like her FBAA but still a little bit of spice and angels/demons was a nice change of speed! Good palate cleanse from anything too heavy overall!

Overall, it was an unmemorable, boring, predictable series. Didn't understand the hype at all. And I definitely don't recommend it.
