Sue was born in Northampton where she still lives. For many years she worked for Northamptonshire libraries and remains a passionate supporter of Public Libraries. Sue loves everything about books, the feel of them, their smell. the way they look. And has a habit of matching a bookmark to the cover of each book she's reading. The process of reading, the feel of the book, carrying it around in her shoulder bag, sitting in favourite cafes reading all make for a complete sensory experience. Browsing bookshops old and new, talking all things bookish with other book lovers, spending time with other writers and meeting with fans of her own books at author events are her favourite things. That and eating good quality dark chocolate, while writing.
Storm is a little puppy who found Jessica one day when he was trying to stay safe. It cheered Jessica because her parents made her go to the balloon race and she didn't want to. She didn't get in the balloon because heights make her feel sick but her dad got in. She had to go to the balloon race because her friend, Sheena because she was sick so she couldn't stay there. Gayle was an older girl who doesn't like to mess with younger girls. They eventually got along. Jessica got a toy dog for Sheena to make her feel better and one for Gayle because they were now friends. She got them puppy's because she thought that everyone deserves a magic puppy.

Silly and fun, as the other books in this series have been too. My daughter voiced that she doesn’t know why Storm doesn’t want other people to know about him, even just as a regular puppy, especially since we did one book in which he did let everyone see him, but didn’t let them know about his magic. It also seems to me rather pointless that even though there is a bit of a story about each girl he’s stayed with, there has not really been any story development regarding what’s going on with him growing and taking his place in his pack. It seems that at this rate the books could just go on forever, Storm looking like a different puppy with a different girl until he’s found out and changes his disguise and stays with a new girl.
