This series remains very much in the spirit of pulpy comic books, which is fun. We actually seem to be getting a bit into the backstory of one of the characters who's past has, up to now been a mystery.

I'll be honest though, I'm not sure how many times this series is going to be able to pull of escalating the threat, particularly as it's always the same type of threat, i.e. it immediately overpowers the heroes in a direct show of force.

The author really steps it up in this book! The series picks up a head of steam as the Worldmind and other "Rivels" begin their trek to Earth. Loved characters get fleshed out more and more as memories return and not a moment too soon. This is a must read for Marvel lovers of the 70's & 80's. The heroes are new and the overall thriller continues to hold the reader firm.
