Absolutely amazing! If you teach Shakespeare or any kind of English Literature with complex language, buy this book. Dakin's experiences are true to the classroom, and she provides straightforward, practical, tips to help students enter a level of understanding beyond just the plot. I came away from this book with too. Any ideas to try in one year!

This text had some really wonderful examples and ideas for bringing Shakespeare to life in the secondary classroom. The book provided some great ideas and helped reinforce some ideas that I had been using already in my classroom with drama.

An excellent resource for teaching Shakespeare in high school, especially Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, Othello, The Tempest, or A Midsummer's Night Dream. More ideas than one can use in a unit.
